I tend to always want to eat even if I'm not hungry, so I snack on plain sunflower seeds or pomegranate seeds

I prefer things I can suck on vs eating if I am trying to keep my calories down.

Eating Well egg salad. I think it's 200 calories from the recipe but I only use one egg per serving to make it less and then i have it with crackers.

Yogurt with mangos (or other fruit).

    Cheese and crackers.

The crackers I use are sesame seed water crackers.

    In and Out, Double-Double animal-style

That was just cruel. :) I need In N' Out, now...
  • Why not just add some protein in there to help curb the hunger? You could dip your celery in peanut butter or dip your carrots in some hummus? Or you could have a cheesestick along with the veggies or a hard-boiled egg? I think if you're just eating plain veggies as a snack without combining it with some type of protein, you'll definitely be hungry sooner than later.

I agree. Adding protein will curb the hunger AND you still get the benefits of eating more veggies. I recently discovered Spinach and Kale Greek Yogurt Dip at Trader Joes. 2T is only 30 calories. I'm also a fan of almond butter and hard boiled eggs.

hummus with cucumber or tomato slices, jerky (in moderation obviously, but just a tiny bit keeps me full), roasted seaweed (yummier than it sounds - try it!), lentil chips, peppermint chocolate Luna bar (it's like hot chocolate in a power bar - yum!).

You can curb your cravings for snacks by drinking some decaf tea or coffee. You can pretty much eat as much of the low cal veggies (like spinach and broccoli) as you want.

    Ostrim beef and ostrich stick

Can find them at any gnc or similar store
  • A low cal snack that I like is to take a slice of deli-meat, a laughing cow cheese wedge (light = 35 calories), and a pickle spear. I basically make roll-ups by spreading the cheese on the ham/whichever meat you choose, and then wrap it around the pickle spear. It's tasty and doesn't really break the calorie bank. They have different flavors of laughing cow too, like garlic and herb or swiss. I discovered this combo when I hadn't been shopping in awhile ;-)
