I pre-track my breakfast and lunch in the morning most of the time during the week. I very rarely eat before I track, even if I'm tracking it right before I put it in my mouth.0

Usually right after the meal....but sometimes not tip the end of the day. Its easy to forget stuff that way though.0

Seems like you've had great success!!!!0 -
Right before I eat, usually while cooking.0

Usually the night before so that I know what I am eating for meals.0

I log after each meal, snack, etc.0

When I eat them0

I log as I go, usually before I eat the food so if that item will put me over in any way I can make a better choice. I have also started pre-logging and planning out my meals and snacks for the next day. It really helps to keep me on track.
I think if you wait until the end of the day it is way too easy to forget what you've had and/or over eat and you won't know until it's too late.
Good luck.0 -
Right after I eat. If I wait, I'll forget!0

Usally at the end of the day, but sometimes directly after eating.0
-
I plan my entire week out before it starts.0

Breakfast, lunch and any snacks are pretty small, so i log them when i eat them, or as im eating them... supper i log as a recipe, because i make entire meals for my family.. this way i can use portion control and everyone in my family gets proper portions and eats the proper amounts... if anyone wants more, they eat fresh fruit, more veggies or a salad! House rules!!! lol0

I almost always pre-track my meals. I set my goals for the meals at 300/breakfast, 500/lunch and 700/dinner. This way I can "get" the most out of my meals with out going over.0
-
I try to log as I eat, although, if I know exactly what I am ingesting for breakfast (which is usually the same each morning) I'll pre-log. I try VERY hard to not leave logging til later (unless I am in a situation where staring at my phone would be considered rude - at a dinner party say) as I will almost certainly forget.
I am still learning which foods are worth the calories, so choosing a new snack or meal can take me a long time, but once I find what I want I log it and eat it straight away.
I am a most forgetful person LOL0 -
I have only one rule and it has worked well for me. RULE#1 Never never never eat anything before it is logged. if you do this you will not go over by accident EVER0

I put my breakfast and lunch in as I'm eating them which is easy since I always have one of three things, and then I'll calculate a few options for dinner before I start cooking and decide which one I like best. Dinner takes me a lot longer to figure out since I always have something different and a lot of the time I have to input it ingredient by ingredient.0

Usually before I eat them.0

I try to pre plan so that I can make changes if I feel the need.0

I post right before, during, or immediately after eating. I'm kinda forgetful.0

i log my lunch the night before while im getting it together for the next day at work , & dinner & snacks i log as im fixing the plates0

I post my breakfast, snack and lunch first thing in the morning as I pack my lunch for work. I track my water as I drink it. I usually have planned dinners and do a lot of my recipe cooking on the weekend so we have some meals all portioned and ready in the refrigerator for heating up later. I save all my meals in the recipe creater on MFP. If we go out to dinner, I track the meal before ordering (so many restaurants have that information on their website or a member has already posted it in the database) Thanks goodness for smart phones. Many of my restaurant meals are halved before I eat it so there is a lunch or another dinner for later. I seem to get in a rut with some foods, lunches, snacks etc because it's working for me. I am serious about logging, this is the only thing that has worked for me in 20 years. I love MFP.0

Depends on how I feel. This morning, for example, I planned out my whole day up until dinner when I was packing my lunch for work. That way, I know exactly what I'm working with. Most of the time, though, I log right as I'm eating them0
-
usually the night before, so i can work out exactly when i can have some cake0
-
I write everything that I eat during the day in a little notebook that I have (there's no way I'd remember exactly how many grams of everything I ate otherwise!), then during the evening or whenever I get the chance, I'll add what I ate to MFP.0

Me too for food calories.0 -

I couldn't agree more. I recently heard pre-logging described as "looking at the price tag before committing to the purchase" and like that description a lot.
And pre-logging doesn't imply perfection by any means, but if i am going to go over, I want it to be a conscious decision and not an accident. I want to own the behavior.0 -
I track everything right away otherwise i'll forget.0

This.0 -
I actually track it first thing in the morning. I pre-plan what I'm going to eat for the entire day which really helps me to stay below my goal. If I do my daily planner and realize my calories are too much I cut back the portions or snacks0
