FAV The Little Drummer Boy. Although the Who's Christmas Song is pretty good, (Dahoo Doray )

    Least:: Can't think of one.

I joined a Barbershop Chorus this year and I can't wait till we go out caroling. I guess I understand the Christmas song haters, I just can't share your sentiment. The music is one of the best parts of Xmas, although they could wait a little longer to start playing it.

I don't like the super slow versions of otherwise perfectly good Christmas songs. They make me want to slit my wrists. Christmas is supposed to be a happy time. Quit dragging me down.

Ok not really a Carol, but my Fav Christmas song is "What do the lonely do at Christmas" by the emotions, don't ask me why :blushing: LOL Close second is This Christmas.

Dislike, ANY Bing Crosby or Elvis sung Carol.

Favorite(s) - Tie between Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (Sinatra or Garland versions. Christina Aguilera destroyed this song), O' Holy Night (and I'm not even religious), and The Christmas Song

Most Hated - Little Drummer Boy is especially awful, as is White Christmas, Silver Bells, and any of the cutesy ones (Jingle Bells, Rudolph, blah blah blah)

'zactly what I was coming in to say.

I don't *hate* any of them, though Christmas Shoes is pushing it. And Santa Baby remakes.

It's the lyrics. I find them creepy, no matter who is singing!

The neighbors might think - Baby, it's bad out there
Say, what's in this drink - No cabs to be had out there
I wish I knew how - Your eyes are like starlight now
To break this spell - I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell
I ought to say no, no, no - Mind if I move a little closer
At least I'm gonna say that I tried - What's the sense in hurting my pride
    I really can't stay - Baby don't hold out

You've got to admit, that's a little bit creepy! Everytime I hear the line 'Say, what's in this drink', I want to answer 'Roofies?'

Edited to add - I just learned that the original composers score labels the two singing parts as 'The Mouse' and 'The Wolf'. I think that makes the nefarious intentions pretty clear.

I love Father Christmas! I usually feel pretty stabby after two seconds of any Christmas song. I worked retail one too many years in a row with X-Mas Muzak blaring.

No no no,my mom loves that damn song!! Whenever I go home to visit, I'm forced to hear this song multiple times a day and its so annoying. I should know the lyrics by heart now.

I don't like the lyrics to "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen", but I do like the instrumentals. I like humming it.

Does "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" count as an X-mas carol? lol

    I love them all.....sorry....

    i'm sure I hate some....but I can't think of one...

Christmas is such a musically intense time of year, and it's overwhelming for me but I do love them.

My daughter has already downloaded ALL the Christmas music we have onto both our phones, her ipod, and the appleTV from the cloud....

it's gonna be a great year.

I worked nights in a hotel and they had psychedelic christmas jazz!!! I was getting so frustrated during my shifts that I tried a find to open the locked door and shut the music off!!!

I am not much of a christmas-y person... most of it for me is running around and not enjoying it... so....

Hmm, I have alot of favorites!
    Little Drummer Boy
    Carol of the Bells
    Oh Holy Night
    Someone else mentioned Coventry Carol
    Emmanuel
    Mary did you Know?
A strange way to save the World
    Trans Siberian, Christmas Cannon

As far as dislike, I hate more than anything Christmas music being played too early. I like most all of it as long as it's in the right time, AFTER thanksgiving!

I like Little Drummer Boy, because I played drums in school, my brother is a drummer as well, and the story is just so great that this little kid who has nothing comes to see Jesus and offers to play his drum for him because he has nothing else to give, and Jesus appreciates it!

I hate Christmas Shoes because it's just sad.

My favorite Christmas song would have to be 'Fairytale of Newyork' by the Pogues.

My most hated would have to be Paul McCartney's 'Wonderful Christmas Time'. You know, that song where he drones on 'Simply having a wonderful Christmas time' for like 3 minutes? I've always imagined that to be the song running through a serial killers head shortly before going on a spree... :grumble:
THIS just made me choke on my coffee!!!!

Agree with the fave song, and fave carols are O Holy Night, Carol of the Bells, Gaudete and all the traditional ones I get to sing drunkenly at midnight mass.

    Other hated songs:
I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday (Wizzard)
    Merry Christmas Everyone (Shakin' Stevens)
So Here It Is, Merry Chritsmas (Slade)

I hate that Feed The World song or whatever it's called with all the USA for Africa celebrities singing. "There won't be snow in Africa this christmas..." Like that's a bad thing? I could be wrong, but I don't think they get much snow in Africa and if it snowed on those poor kids in the videos and commercials, wouldn't that just add to their misery?

I have to agree that O Holy Night is my favorite, especially Cartman's version!
