Excuse: I was too tired after being up for over 16 hours. I deserved a little treat after a long 12.5 hour shift and a 3 hour commute (longer when it snows).
I combat this by counting all the calories in my lunch box and making sure I dont have any extra calories to stop for a treat.

I knew someone who started with some cardio, very light, and decided to give it up because it made their heart race too much.............hmmm not used to that huh?

Usually when I don`t, it is because "I don't have time"..... But really I am just being a lazy *kitten* donkey.

Also, 'I ****ed up today already, what is the point!?"

Well for awhile there it was "I have no time." then "I'm just too tired." and now it's "but my weights are in the truck of the car."....yup....I'm the laziest person alive lol.

    I'm tired.
Exercise makes me feel lousy (true story).
I don't have time (I work twelve hours a day. One hour commute. Leaves me with 4 waking hours to do household chores, prepare meals and have me time. I've never figured out how to effectively fit exercise in that time without feeling resentful).

Ive heard people say to people that are fit and healthy....... 'You're so lucky to be fit/healthy/slim...'
    LUCKY!!!! LUCKY!!!!!
Yep, Im lucky alright, lucky I get up at 5.30am to exercise.....lucky I dont eat doughnuts......lucky I think about what food is healthy.
I think these people confuse lucky with effort.

I walk, that's enough exercise for my body.
Eating healthy is way too expensive for my budget.
    I don't have enough time.
Eating healthy doesn't taste as good as takeout/fast food/etc.
I've been eating this way for YEARS and I'm fine!

I think the "I want to enjoy my life" one is the one I hear the most. Which is dumb for a lot of reasons, especially because I enjoy my life way more now that I eat well and exercise.

I want to enjoy my life and not starve myself and eat celery like you.

    I don't have time.

    I'll start next week.

I know how to lose weight. When I'm ready, I'll get started.

I don't like the way the trainer made me do hard exercises that made me sweat and exert myself.

I'm happy with my body. (despite all the physical ailments they may be experiencing)

    I don't buy the groceries

I can't cook, Someone else cooks.

for me, my #1 reason in not exercising was always "I will do it later" LOL

    Can't afford gym membership/equipment.

Too much to do/ too busy

You try with kids (or "kids are my workout" or etc)

    or just...

    I can't.

The most common excuses when I invite my friends to the gym are:
    1) Don't have time today--- make time! A 1 hour workout is only 4% of your day!
    2) No childcare--- in their defense, the gym I go to has pretty crappy daycare hours
    3) Too much homework/housework/etc.--- see #1. Also, time management!
    4) Too expensive--- membership fees, etc.
    5) Embarassed to work out in front of strangers
    6) Too sore from previous workout

"It's too hard." (my hubby uses this one)
"Dinner is taking too long" (again his for wanting fast food)

    Ones I have used:
    The too hot and cold
    I am too busy
I am tired and want sleep
    Homework
    Work
    I am fine....
    My asthma is kicking in
    Why bother?

I finally decided to get off my butt and do something about it. Just wish i wasn't the only one in the house.

    i'll give you mine:

"i have a ton of homework"
    "i don't feel like it"
    "i'm really tired"
"it's so late if i exercise and shower after my hair won't ever get dry"
"i don't have anyone to work out with"

it's sad, but we all have our excuses

My old favorite excuse was "I don't have time!" I never could seem to find time... funny how you all of a sudden have time for other things that come up. I work out at least 6 hours per week now and I still work, I didn't lose a kid or husband and I didn't gain a maid... I MADE time for it because it became a priority.

I forgot where I read it but it said "If you can name anyone on "American Idol" you have time to work out"

Its true... I work 50+ hours a week but still find time for 6-8 hours of gym time a week.
