I started at size 26/28, and they wre actually a little tight. 8 months later I am now a size 16/18. You can do it. It seems overwhelming, but stay focused. The pounds add up quicker than you realize when you start to lose a couple at a time!

I started at a 24 and am now wearing a very loose 22. I have one pair of size 20 jeans in my closet that I haven't tried on so I plan to do that this weekend to see if I can wear them now.

I started at a size 28!!! Now I'm a size 16 but still working on it. I have another 45 pounds to go. It has been long and slow but steady. I hope that doing it slowly will allow me to maintain. Anyhow, don't give up hope. You didn't put the weight on overnight so it isn't going to come off overnight. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!

I started at 22-24 tops and really should have been in 26 bottoms. Now I'm a lady's large top, sometimes a medium and a lady's size 16 pant. I've lost 15 pounds since I joined MFP 8 months ago and I've lost 50+ pounds since I started my weight loss journey. No easy task for a 73 year old but it is possible.

Take it one day at a time and learn from your wobbles. Good luck on your journey.

I started at a tight 24, should have been 26 but I didn't want to go up another size. I am currently at a comfortable 22, but I have a pair of size 20's waiting in my closet for me.....hopefully soon :)

Exactly this for me as well.

I started at a snug 32 (400+ pounds in May 2012), and just reached a size 24 last week (303 pounds). I am elated!

i started at a 22/24, and i can currently fit into some 16 jeans, and went from a 2x shirt to an Xl in the misses section, and i wear a 14/16w, yeah theres a different between a regular 14/16 and a 14/16w, my goal is to be at a 12/14 misses.

I was a 28, currently an 18/20. Oh and by the way, I went down my last two sizes without losing much on the scale at all.

Try not to concentrate too much on the numbers. I'm 6' tall and will never, ever be a 10. Even at my very thinnest that I can ever remember, 157, I still wore a size 12. It also took me about 40 pounds to lose my first size in jeans - probably because the ones I was wearing were so tight! It now takes me a good 25 pounds to lose a size. Hang in there, it can be done!
