What does it say about the people who have dogs, but think they are too good to pick up their own dogs poop! I am not Talking about Unicorn poop, which if left on the ground will grow more unicorns, or maybe a glitter tree, I am talking the large squishy smelly dog turds. Should I go empty my cats litter box on their lawn? Poop for Poop?

I pick up my dogs whem I'm on a walk if I think someone saw her poop. If it's nasty and I think someone is watching I pretend to pick it up =)

Take the monkey approach. Fling it at them as they walk past next time.

What I really am torn about is when they let their dogs pee on my grass, when I am there. Should I go pee on their dog, then shrug?
  • I pick it up and hand it to them....................

But then you are doing their work for them.

I actually had a neighbor scream at me to pick up some dog pee.........true story.

I put it in their bare hand.

I know right! I was working in my garden one day, and the next door neighbor was out with her dogs, and the little one came over to me, about a foot in front of where I was working and peed! I shouted the dogs name, and the neighbor just shrugged!!

  • Follow them home to find out where they live. Then have everyone you know save up their dog doo for ya. Deposit on their lawn when it gets dark.

I don't give a crap if your dog poops in my yard just pick it up before I step in it when I mow. GRRRRRR... you hit a nerve with that one. Gotta go...

Picking up dog poop is one thing but seriously, fretting that a dog is peeing on your lawn? Really... At least it wasn't on you... perhaps disinfect your lawn and you may feel better about it?

Dog pee, I don't care about, but dog poop needs to be disposed of. It pollutes our oceans (true story) and is disgusting and unsanitary.

I don't care if dogs pee in my yard...its when its right where I'm trying to do stuff in the garden. Would you want to be digging in to plant something, right where a dog had JUST peed seconds before?

Dog pee kills the grass and creates yellow spots of death.

Yeah seriously, why shouldn't other dogs be allowed to pee? What makes your yard so special? Give me a break. As far as poop goes, if it's "serial pooping" that's one thing, but I'm used to picking up my own dogs poop so it doesn't bother me to pick up some more. If you have a dog you should be more understanding of such things.

try not to lick it and you shouldn't have a problem... it really isn't going to cause you harm.

I understand that you should be responsible and act like the world is your pets toilette.

IF anyone ever yelled at me I'd put it in a paper bag...take it to their doorstep, light the bag, ring their doorbell and walk away....

I pick up dog poop when she goes in people's yards. I generally discourage her from going on people lawns though just because some times you can't get all of it... enough said there. Never put much of a thought to her peeing in people lawns when we go for a walk. Can't really pick up pee... lol... and no one's every yelled at me for her peeing...

It is very frustrating that many dog owners have so little regard for others.

We have a Great Dane and make all attempts to pick up after her. I remember one time with our previous Dane that I had to use two very large leaves to clean up after her because I had forgotten a bag when I took her out (clearly wasn't expecting her to have to go).

There was another occasion when our neighbor (lived 3 doors down) was out walking her (smallish) dog and it pooped on our lawn, in clear view of our living room (and our dog was barking madly at the front door). I asked her if she was going to clean it up and she said she would come back for it because she didn't have a bag. Guess what? She never did. So I bagged it up and left it on her porch for her. She's just lucky that I didn't a) leave it on the front seat of her convertible that had the top down or b) substitute some our dog's poop for hers.

TL;DR - don't get in a dog poop fight with people who own Great Danes.
