      I prefer shows like Arrow, modern family, big bang theory, revolution, and sci fy, but the reality crap makes me sick.

      Me too.
      Storage wars is the only reality type show I've ever watched. And that's mostly to see what they find. The hyped up drama is getting very tiresome though.

      Me, too. I have Amazon Prime and Netflix. I'm considering getting Hulu Plus and leaving cable behind. There are still a few shows I enjoy watching and I don't want to give them up. But I can watch them for much cheaper.

      Ha...because 90% of my life is spent working, tending to my family, and being responsible. That other 10% is laughing at the ridiculousness that is reality tv, with a glass of Jameson. :wink:

      as I said to my mom once when she asked why I watched certain shows that were just stupid (I think it was Survior at the time) my response was

      I watch tv to be entertained - when I want education I'll watch a documentary

      and the reason producers keep putting out these crappy reality shows is because people keep watching them.

      As for reality tv, my husband hates it all. Every time he sees a commercial for it, he flies into a complete rage and goes on about how crappy it is. I'm like, "Dude, you watch wrestling. People in glass houses and whatnot."

      What about what's happened to TLC? I remember some really interesting, educational stuff on there. Now it's Reality Nation. Ugh. Or The History Channel and even A&E!

      I remember seeing a promo for the show about the conjoined twins on TLC, and thinking, "Well, at least it's not some freakshow like Honey BooBoo."

      Then I realized... a show about teenagers living as normal a life as possible with an abnormality is what I'd expect from The Learning Channel, and a redneck "beauty" queen is a freakshow.

      I don't have cable, but I do like to watch those shows now and again. Pawn Stars is good, American Pickers, because I like to see the neat stuff they come across. Plus, you can learn a little bit if you pay attention.

      Someone told me on an episode of Jersey Shore, they talking about taking 'cologne baths' or something, and one guy said he once went 3 weeks or something crazy without showering. That's when I remembered why I never watch reality TV.

      I am not a fan, but my parents lap it up, those seem to be the only reality shows they watch (storage wars and Pawn stars) other than the History Channel or Nova etc.
