How many push ups can you do at one go?

My wife and I followed the hundredpushups.com plan for 6 weeks. It is very, very tough after Week 3 or 4. She ended up doing 51 and I got 62.0

So for the purposes of this challenge, what are we calling "one go"? In the Army PT test you had to do as many good pushups as you could in 2 minutes with the following rules: You can't rest on the ground (obviously). You can't rest on your knees. You can "rest" in the up position, flex your back and stretch your arms a bit, but only while maintaining four points of contact on the ground (so your feet and hands have to stay on the ground, no lifting them and shaking them out). If we're talking about straight, not stopping at all, one after the other pushups, I can do around 45. By the Army definition of "not stopping" I could probably do like 60.0

girl pushups 20, normal pushups 8.0
-
I can do 25 from my knees without stopping (can't do the normals due to my foot), it was like 3 in September...so all that strength training is doing something!0

10.
Which is low compared to what most people here are posting, but considering in April 2012, I couldn't do 1, and I did my first ever full pushup on the floor only at the end of September, I'm pretty pleased with being able to do 10 (full pushups, no knees). :happy:0 -
My best was 82 this past summer. I was doing P90x & the 100 push-up challenge during that time. Right now only about 60, but I'm working on it.
I have a hard time with pull-ups/chin-ups though. I can only do about 8...ugh!0 -
My personal best is 17 full ones but that only happens when it's the first thing I do in the morning. If I do them at the end of my workout it's more like 10-12. Getting more in is definitely one of my goals!0
-
Back when I was screwing around with P90x (doing pushups on a more regular basis) I was up to 35 - and those were real pushups FWIW.0
-
Probably about 7 or 8.
My arms are pretty weak. My legs are a power house though.0 -
Did 72 on my semi-annual fitness test earlier this month.0
-
The first week I did push ups I could do 11 from my knees.
It's been just over two weeks and I can do 15, but the last two are very hard. If I go down for another one I literally cannot push myself back up haha.0 -
Max is right around 70. I usually do them in 3 sets of 50.0
-
20 full push ups if it's a good day ahaha! I need to work on my arms more!0
-
My max has been 41 full pushups in 2 minutes. Our bootcamp does the Army Physical Fitness test every month or so and according to the Army charts I'm supposed to be able to do 40 for my age group.0

I've managed 50 a few times, hoping to get that number up.
Speaking of pushups, this weekend is my birthday, and I've given myself a birthday challenge. Going to attempt 3000 pushups in one day. Yep I'm crazy, but figured whether I meet that goal or not, Its a good way to startoff as I turn 300 -
When I started in May, I could maybe do 1 or 2. In September it was up to 7. Yesterday I did 14 in one go and I figure I could probably do a couple more.0

I've haven't tried to find my max in ages. But, just a couple of months ago, after completing RushFit, I did 42 in one minute for the "after" assessment. I could have still gone, I'm sure.
Heck, why not drop down in the office and find out about right now?
OK - 47 before I felt my form starting to go due south.0 -
5 and proud of it use to be able to do 0
me too!0 -
on the Navy PRT I stop at 1000
-
I'm doing 3 sets of 15 - "guy style". I could probably get to 20 reps, but I'm still rehabbing shoulder tendinitis and I don't want to push it.0
