Wow...you learn something every day...0

My husband gets this at work just from sweating so much & the type of job.. he is so active in his job.. he burns nearly 8000 calories a day!! (Per HRM!!)
You can get an anti-chafing bar from Gold Bond.. looks just like deoderant. put that on ya nips before you run. Works like a charm!
He has also gotten relief from under armour shirts & boxer briefs. :drinker:
Burning 8000 calories per day?:smokin: He would need to consume nearly 10000 calories a day just to maintain his present weight.
Body Glide works as well. Good stuff.0 -
I have had it before. While I've never had them bleed they do get real sore. I call it nipple rash. Pretty much like chafing between your legs only on the nipples. They will in fact get raw and when they heal will get a hard crust like a scab. I've considered the band aids just have never done it.0

I've not experienced any chafing yet.
Because you wear a bra, he doesn't.
There are other places that chafe But, you are correct...0 -

Body Glide works there also.:bigsmile:0 -
Have a really good friend rub lotion on them.
Or else they get the hose again!0 -
yeah its just like when you're a breasfeeding mom, they get VERY sore and crack and bleed alot. Running can cause friction and thats what causes the bleeding. Bandaids are a must!!!0
-
Fortunately for females we can wear bras and such.0
-
If you get any chaffing in any areas, you can put a product on your problem areas called "BODY GLIDE." It will help with the friction.0
-
Maybe y'all should get sports bras. :noway:0

I loves me some bleedin' nipples!0

You could try silicone reusable nipple covers.0
-
Electrical tape. And avoid cotton. Body glide is excellent.0
-
Avoid cotton shirts and get some dry fit ones. Buy some body glide and ditto on the band aids.
Good luck with your nipples.0 -
One of the few times when a bra isn't annoying. I hear that from a lot of my guy runner friends, though. Try bandaids to prevent chafing.0

Yep been their! The best thing to do is express a little bit of milk and rub the milk around your nipple after every feeding. They also have lanolin, but breastmilk worked best for me and its what my breastfeeding counselor adviced! If you ever need help with breastfeeding concerns, call the la leche league breastfeeding hotline, they can even direct you to a lactation.consultant in your area! I breast fed exclusively for a year plus.0

I had that happen to me, I had these red streaks on my tshirt from the blood mixing with sweat and was a bit freaked out when I realized it was from my nipples. Went away after a few weeks, I made sure i wore looser tshirts when i was doing cardio and that helped a lot too.0

Thanks for all the insight. Didn't expect this to be such a big thing.
