Add flowers and chocolate for a triple whammy.

listen to her.......is she talking about a certain author she likes..? buy the latest book or gift card....a certain nail place or spa place...? ..get her a gift card to that place - - the gifts that show you are REALLY listening to her are the greatest gifts.

Depends how much you want to spend. Jewelry is always good (watch, earrings, bracelet, necklace...)

    Okay, this wins over shoes.

I'm failing to see what's wrong with flowers.

I love it when my husband gets me flowers. Not some puny little bouquet, but a knock out arrangement. Yes, they die, but they're still gorgeous.

    *shrugs* Guess I'm old fashioned.

Break up now, reconcile after the new year.

    Repeat for Valentine's Day.

Well, honestly - it depends on what she's into. If you are unsure, try checking her FB for her likes or subtly asking one of her friends.

If this is just a girl you are heading on a 2nd or 3rd date - stick with flowers.
  • You can never go wrong with a gift card and a small gesture gift, like a cute bracelete or a spa gift basket! :)

    Girlfriend?
Get her a new frying pan and offer to leave her alone while she does what she needs to do.

    Chicks LOVE that.
  • How new is "new"? Do you have a price limit in mind?
  • jewelry ....bracelet, necklace or earrings You should know if she prefers gold (yellow or white) or silver before you buy though.

    A day at the spa.
  • nice handbag IF you know what to buy.
charm bracelet or other nice (silver can be nice & great variety in prices & styles) bracelet. and if you look for a style w/something symbolic of your relationship its meaningful w/out saying "marry me" if you arent there yet or dont even expect to get to "marry me"

for silver bracelet id suggest antique mall. some of the vendors ahve great jewelry they are essentially selling for melt value and "its vintage"

You can buy her a star. Its relatively inexpensive too. I bought one for someone for their bday and it was pretty cool.

A gift certificate for a massage, a book that she is interested in, a CD she wants, a small piece of jewelry...

Wine, anything from Etsy, a piece of fun jewelry (I got my friend a new bellybutton ring once), dinner (like a sushi date), or stuff for her kitchen/home decor.

It always means the most when you get something that is thoughtful...do you know any of her hobbies? What she likes to do? For me, I prefer my fiance to plan us a fun date over buying me a gift, but that's just me. :)

Jewelry. NO diamonds if she's a new gf. Open heart necklace or a bracelet.
