Snow ball cookies this recipe is over 100 years ago passed down from generation to generation
Plus they are also vegeterian no eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla
2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/3 cup finely chopped walnuts
Mix butter, sugar and vanilla
sift flour and salt. Blend with mixer.
Mix in nuts. Roll dough into a big ball and put in refrigerator to chill
Heat oven to 400 degrees
Shape rounded teaspoonsfuls of dough into one inch balls. Add a Hershey Kiss in the middle if desired. Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie.
Bake 10-12 minutesor until they set not brown. While they are still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Let cool and roll again in powdered sugar.
These cookies are always my favorite. You don't have to add the chocolate if you don't want to. We also used to make these crescent moon shape as well. Always my favorite cookie my Mom made. Actually she lost the recipe when she moved when my Dad died so I was thrilled when I found the recipe. She is going to get some UPS to her.0 -

Here's another easy recipe for peanut butter cookies.
1 cup of sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 egg
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients till smooth. Spoon drop batter on cookie sheet. Can mash the tops with fork to make them pretty. Take them out when the edges are brown usually around 7 or 8 minutes. They are gooey and so good! Makes 1 dozen. I dont know the calorie stats on these, sorry.
I hope these help, Merry Christmas!

Think it is great you want to help with cookies!! Bake classics...they always make people smile!
Well, look out Betty Crocker!!
Can't go wrong with good 'ol sugar cookies!! If you have nieces, cousins (or kids of any age, for that matter), bake out the cookies ahead of time & have them help you decorate them with icing & sprinkles! I started this with my nieces a few years ago & it's so much fun. They make tons of different sprinkle colors, shapes, designs & the kids have a blast!0 -
this thread has inspired me to make some cookies on Christmas eve!0
