Once upon a time I would go climbing when I needed to vent or just needed a break from life. Why? Because it was more important to think about my next move so I wouldn't fall off the wall (indoor climbing) than to worry about anything else. I was such a relaxed person during most of my first year of grad school. I need to get back on that.

Dead lifts 6sets x 1 rep, scream your head off as you max out and drop that weight.

I don't know. For me, singing always gets my emotions out. Most people do not believe that singing is an exercise but the vocal chords are a muscle. When I sing on stage, after one song, I sweat almost as much as i I were running for ten minutes. So crazy. But when I sing, I dance too, especially in performance mode. Anyway, it does help.

I head down the beach with my horse. Nothing better than galloping flat out on a beach. I love it and my horse loves it.

i wailed on a heavy bag until i couldn't pick up my arms

I am unable to run..but I murder the bag...Rock on!

Oh, and I go fly fishing at this great quiet stream. Trust me, it's a workout and the peaceful surroundings are settling.

I did some "venting" this morning ........ 9 miles on recumbant bike (intervals) ........ 1.5 miles on TM to cool off ........ lifted 6,350 lbs on 4 machines ...... by then I was more tired than mad .........

And yes, I wiped down each machine after using it :drinker:
