I don't really consider 500 calories a surprise or "whopping"...

    That's 40% of my 1200 goal

How can you eat so many calories? I get sooooo full

    9 meals a day

Of what?? Lettuce??? (I'm in a snarky mood today :grumble: )

One of the many reasons I am a vegetarian. BARF!!!

That's a horrible reason. Many delicious meat sources that aren't as heavily processed. Like the deer liver and heart I'm cooking up tonight. NOM NOM NOM

You had me at deer. ... then lost me at 'heart' and 'liver'.

You really don't know what you are missing. It's just meat that happens to be an organ.

It's not surprising at all. I don't eat McAnything and never have (except hungover in college lol). It's not real food.

I've honestly never had a McRib and I'm not a real fan of Mcdonalds burgers. I like their french fries and their coffee. For a burger I really prefer Burger King.

To each his own. I've never agreed with the way McDonald's runs their business.

I would love to hear what you have against the way they run their business as they are well known for community outreach programs and have a positive impact on areas where they do business.

^^ Yup. Haven't you heard of the Ronald McDonald House? A pretty darn good place IMO.

Also if they ran their business wrong they wouldn't be one of the top fast food restaurants in the world. They make about $100,000 a DAY so if they ran their business bad or were bad in general then they wouldn't be around.

Oh and as for procedures? They have their procedures as far as taking a customer, preparing the food and all that down to a science. Every single McDonalds out there does everything the exact same way which is why they're so efficient when it comes to serving people.

Now if you're talking about all the crap that goes on between the employees (ie sexual harassment) then that's a different story.

Perhaps that was the wrong phrase to use. I don't care for the way they process and handle food. Both before it comes to their restaurant, and as it's leaving the drive-thru window. But again, to each his own. :)

I have never liked them, and don't eat at McDonalds anymore. But scalded stomach sounds revolting, and I don't see how you can read that and the fact that there are over 70 things in them and still like them!

    I still like them

    Me too.

    I'm a fan of McDonald's snack wraps.

And to those of you who are complaining about how many calories five hundred is out of their daily allotment, you could always exercise most of it away. You know, if you want.

I've never really been a fan of Fast Food in general...ever! My problem isn't in the place of business, my problem is in the houses they use to "grow" thier meat. I've lived on a farm my whole life, have cattle, chickens and have raised just about anything a person can but I've never thought about treating an animal unfairly. If we butcher an animal, we do it justice by eating everything we can and not wasting any of the meat. That is the respectful thing to do and we treat our animals with respect while they are living. That is just my 2 cents.
  • They are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good....but if I eat two of them, it just bumps me completely above my 1125 calorie daily maximum. So, I usually eat one....then go throw up...then eat the second one. It is a lifetstyle...not a diet.

I am pretty sure I've consumed a McRib at some point in my life, but thanks to this article, I'm jonesing for a big bowl of tripe and beef cartilage soup. With noodles. And hot sauce.

Definitely. The treatment of the animals before they come to the restaurant is a big turnoff.
