Hi, I am Ali- I want to lose 30lbs by July 29th when we fly to the US. I lost 30lbs 3 years ago then put it all back on again after a major op and a load of donuts Am doing boot camp three times a week, lots of walking and running and have just bought Jillian's 30 Day Shred. I love Bob and Jillian!

I would love to join! I usually do my weigh-ins on Saturday mornings though. I work out usually 5-6 days a week switching between interval training on my treadmill and high incline walking.

CW:157
GW: 135 (possibly 130)...we'll see when I get there
I want to be to my goal by a friend's wedding on July 16th, but sooner then that would always be great too!0 -
We weigh-in's are typically on Wednesday. So I'll base my figures on today's weigh in:

GW: 125 (will have to re-evaluate as I approach 135ish)

I did a legitimate workout last night for the first time in over a month. I am doing the Slim in 6 series and I did Slim & 6-pack, Start it Up and Slim & Limber. I feel great this morning and I plan on going to my first Zumba class tonight. :flowerforyou:0 -
Hi everyone,
I’m Larry and would love to join the group. My current goal is to lose 30 lbs by October 1. I joined MFP March 20 and have lost 3 lbs so far. I weighed 206 pounds at the start, the most I have ever weighed in my life.
Currently for exercise I am following the Runner’s World 8-Week Beginning Runner’s Program, a progressive run/walk program that requires 30 minutes of exercise, six days a week. The goal is to be able to run 30 minutes non-stop after 8 weeks and be fit enough to run a 5K. I am a former runner and want to be a runner again. That is part of the reason I want to lose weight besides just for getting healthier overall.

I think we should do some chatting whenever we feel like we need to celebrate, whine, need encouragement, etc. Zumba is great! I ghope you enjoyed your class or if I read it wrong, enjoy it tonight!
I ran last night with a running group and with a much faster friend than I. hHe was chatting the whole time and I was like...please I need to just breath! He runs at 8 minute mile or less, I on the other hand, am a 8:30 minute mile at best. I kept thinking in my head...take off without me!

My ultimate goal would be to be between 150-160---I haven't been that small in, well ever!! But I'd like to get there by October 1st as well! My hubby leaves for a deployment in May, and I'd like to look smokin' hot for when he comes home
I usually do my weigh ins on Monday morning, I hope thats ok!!
Lisa---tell me about the slim in 6. Do you like it? Have you seen results? How long have you been doing it? I really was thinking of doing that, but decided I shouldn't, I don't know why...I am thinking of doing P90X when I get down to 160-165.

I haven't lost too much this month, because I strained the muscles on the inside of my knees from having the wrong shoes (I pronate alot, and they didn't do anything for it). The doc had me stay off of walking, running...anything for a week. But I should be good to start back up slowly tomorrow so I hope to blast some more off before the end of this month!! Newby here, looking to get over a wall I seem to have hit.
Started dieting/ exercise back on 17 Jan when my SW was 219 and the missus brought a cross trainer for us.
Since then set myself tiny goals - lose 10lbs - acheived by 6 Feb, from there, lose 4lb (to make a stone) - acheived 22 Feb, then get to 200lb, acheived 13 March, then acheive 196lb (14st) acheived 10 April.
I have been doing at least 40 mins on a high resistance program (approx 600 cals) at least 6 times a week or swapping one of those workouts for a run (have gone from struggling 4 miles in 45 minutes, to feeling good after a 6 mile run in 57 minutes) or cycling 6 miles each way to the train station. I have been exercising religiously to this regime.
So far I have lost 23lb, but for the last 3 weeks I seem to be yo-yoing between 196 and 200, and just dont seem to be able to get under it. I'm hoping that joining this group will help me over this blip....
Anyway, my next target is 193lb which would be 2 st lost, and my overall target is 168lb, aim to be there by October when I hope to run a half marathon. But looking at baby steps all then way0 -

Another 2 pounds lost this past week for a total of 10. At 196 pounds I now have a BMI under 30 and dropped down from the obese to the overweight category. Never thought I'd be so happy to be considered overweight. Lol0 -
