Does anyone else have a 5" wrist. My personal trainer measured me today and said she has never seen a 5" wrist on an adult before and I can't believe that. I know my frame is small but not that small lol

If its the bone, then you can't really do anything about it, just your genetics, you could try increasing the size of your forearms to give it an illusion though. That's what im trying to do as I have pretty small wrists as well.0

I've to 5 1/2 inch wrists and they're tiny and people notice. When I shake my fist in a menacing way I'm never taken seriously

Mine are about 5.5''0

I think that also depends on your height. If you are short and at the same time with a small frame then a 5" wrist is just right.Does anyone else have a 5" wrist. My frame is medium though so mine are 6" at my 5'2 frame.0 -
I'm 5'9" so that looks small on me

I'm 5'10 with 5" wrists.....but I also have E.T. fingers. People seem to notice my hands over my small wrists :frown:0

My wrist actually falls beneath the 5" circumference, but then again I am a small-boned tall woman, so it's pretty much a norm for me.0 -
I guess my wrists are ridiculous then. They're just under 4 inches. I have never been able to wear a watch. lol
Seems like your trainer just hasn't measured many.0 -
You know what they say?
Small wrists, small...
...watchbands.0 -
I guess not, she also said my ankles, calves, and thighs are the smallest also, shes probably new lolyeah.... 5.5" and i'm 5'7" tall. Does your trainer not measure wrists often? lol0 -
Oh yeah that's indeed small and especially for a man. I still find mine small too although my overall body falls within the medium range. I live in Asia and since I'm surrounded with the small framed majority so I've seen some men with a very small wrist, probably at or about very close to a 5" wrist. But I agree with the other poster, its all in your genetics which we absolutely can't do anything about it. However you can increase your bone density by weight lifting.

Mine are a tad under 5". I'm a tall woman with small wrists, hands, nails - although, I do have a long hand span. ... It was a big deal in primary school, but then it's part of who I am. No big deal. People do notice, and think me delicate.0 -
I have almost 5'' inch wrists.0

lop same here, when people see my arms they tell me to be careful that I could get hurt easilyDoes anyone else have a 5" wrist. My personal trainer measured me today and said she has never seen a 5" wrist on an adult before and I can't believe that. I know my frame is small but not that small lol

I consider my wrists pretty small in relation to my body (I'm 5'7" and heaviest I've been is 144lbs). I just measured my wrist & it was about 5" 3/4. Closer to 6". Push-ups hurt my wrists but I do them anyway!
Your wrists don't look that small in your profile pic...0 -
I'm 6' and have 6" wrists so they look small for me

My wrist is just a bit under 5".0

This is a very odd but fascinating topic. Tomorrow I'm going to be looking at everyone's wrists!0

I have 5" wrists and HUGE hands. My elbow joints are also very wide, so my arms tend to get me the "You look like a holocaust victim!" remarks. I can completely cross my middle finger and thumb over my wrist. It's pretty gross. I wear a lot of long sleeves because of this.0

Trade ya. I have 7inch wrists and am only 5'2. I have short fingers and broad palms too. Freak of nature I am. Course the more I read about differing frame size it would explain why I was always a stocky girl even when I was a lower weight.0

I'm curious now if everyones forearm is small also. Mine is 7.75 which looks small I think, really my whole arm does0
-
I think what you really need at this stage is to build muscle so that your arms will not look that small. Mine is at 9.25", used to be 9" but added a bit of muscle to those forearms now.I'm curious now if everyones forearm is small also. Mine is 7.75 which looks small I think, really my whole arm does0 -

Me too! At certain angles and in certain photos, my arms look gross because my elbow joint is so wide and my arms/wrists are small! It looks okay most of the time but if I open my arms out (Like a starfish) it makes my elbows look big & knobby. It looks normal most of the time, but I looked like Starvin Marvin when I was 15lbs lighter, with belly fat.
My mom said my aunt always had big elbows too.0 -
that's my goal, I hired a personal trainer to work with me at my gym until I learn all the equipment . I'm really excited because is my first time getting into weight training.

Whoa whoa whoa, someone said they have 4" wrists?? I just made a 4" loop with my measuring tape and that's like... my cat's wrist. You are measuring the circumference & not just the width, right? Wrapping the tape AROUND your wrist like a snug bracelet?0
