Why you should take progress pics

I have lost more than 52 pounds.

I know I have made progress.

I feel better.

Most of my clothes are falling off of me.

My friends comment every time they see me.

A client at work literally thought I was a different person.

But sometimes I still feel like I don't look all that different. Or I get overwhelmed by how far I still have to go and I forget to think about how far I have come.

Until I start looking at my progress pictures:

and...

So take your progress pictures! You won't regret it!

great job!! What have you been doing as far as workouts?

    Sending a friends request!
  • oh wow, you did amazing!!
I took one picture, short after I started and even so I get compliments, I see no progress at all in those pictures compared to now. It´s really weird. But I have a smaller size in jeans and people tell me I look smaller so I guess I must have achieved something.

I do the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I do 3 days, then rest on the 4th day. I did each of the levels for about 3 weeks and now I alternate between levels 1 and 3.
I try to eat as cleanly as I can, focusing on protein-dense foods. And I stay around 1200 calories daily. And water! Lots and lots of water. :)

    Thanks for the encouragement, everyone!

I'm the same way! Most of the time I feel like I look great, but there are plenty of times when I feel like I still look 250 pounds. I take pictures all the time and then when I feel a bit discouraged, I look at those pictures and it makes me feel great :)

Great job! Sounds like you are doing amazing & have a great plan. I myself just started Jillian Michael's Body Revolution system. I am really enjoying it so I thought I would share if you get bored of 30 day shred. Its a 90 day program with 5 Dvds per month. 4 strength training & 1 Cardio. It is a bit pricey but our health is worth it right?? :)

Awesome job, friend!!!! I am 48 lbs down and I can't see it at all. Even though I have baggy clothes, I don't see the loss yet. I think Jan 1st I will start taking progress pics. Hopefully by then I will have lost 50 so I feel like its a clean slate. Thanks for the motivation, as usual!

Congratulations on your weight loss!! That's awesome!!

I know what you mean. I wish I had taken photo's like this when I first started my weight loss journey. I have 2 photo's of me when I was a couple weeks into it... and uh, they aren't for the public view lol. Too bad on my part! :(
