1) Cut off certain friends, they were triggering.
2) Stop making excuses for why I couldn't recover.
3) Learn to love myself for who I am, still working on this one.
4) Stopped engaging obsessive behaviour, overexercising, restricting, etc.
5) I started putting my needs above everyone elses, this was so hard for me because I live to please and help others but I needed to focus on myself and what I need in order to progress as far as I have in recovery.0 -

1) Started watching my calories and diet, thanks to MFP. Still don't have the cleanest diet, but it's greatly improved from what it used to be!
2) Losing over 40 lbs since May.
3) Started going back to college after a hiatus of a few years -- improving my mental health and challenging my brain!
4) One size away from being what I was in high school - and I don't think I'll be done even then. I'm on a roll!
5) Started running - just finished a 5K on my treadmill this morning in under 40 minutes. 6 months ago I couldn't run for more than a few minutes without being incredibly winded.0 -
I lost a lot of weight. After running last night with 5lb ankle weights on, I can begin to appreciate how much my joints especially must appreciate that!0

All of these changes were from August 28th to present:
1) Joined MFP and tracked calories for first time ever in life, measure food with scale and cups
2) Went from no regular exercise (for past 5 years) to 30 minutes of vigorous exercise a day
3) Only drank water and coffee
4) Maintained good posture
5) Lost 30 pounds, and inches everywhere. Was so fed up I seriously looked into a breast reduction and after busting my *kitten* for 4 months I have lost over 5 inches in my boobs and don't feel like I need surgery anymore. I am lucky my progress was so fast as it might be harder to stick with if I didn't see the results. But I am freaking determined! I've worked for this!0 -
Great steps everyone - well done!
Joined MFP in May 2012 and started tracking food and macros
Have since lost 93 pounds and don't know how many inches
Have had to replace most of my wardrobe (down 3 sizes and I'm not done yet)
Joined a gym; lift heavy 2/3 x/week and water classes 3/5 x/week (this is first regular exercise EVER!)
Discovered I'm celiac and went gluten-free in Sept 2012
Found a wonderful therapist and adjusted depression meds
Beginning to discover the real me - and feeling I am worth every second of this effort
Today I did my first pullups. Assisted, but I did a total of 10
2013 will bring
more weight loss
increased lifting, both weights and lifts to improve strength and body composition
add yoga to the mix
continuing down my personal discovery as the weight comes off and the old stuff surfaces
We can do this - NSVs, back pats and kicks in the backside for each of us to do our best!!!0 -
