5 miles today takes me to exactly 80 for the month and goal complete. I didn't exactly get there the way I planned, but I got there.0

You don't want to "beast through" the flu anyway. Fevers and exercise don't mix. Rest up and get back on the pony in the new year.0 -

Apparently the other day, I was healthy enough to run, but not healthy enough to add correctly. I only needed 5.5 today to get to 100 for the month, and that's what I did. Had a great run to finish up 2012... with my best average pace in several weeks - just over 11 m/m.
Week 1 Total: 9.6 miles
Week 2 Total: 31.7 miles
Week 3 Total: 24.5 miles
Week 4 Total: 26.0 miles
12/29: 2.7 miles
12/31: 5.5 miles
WTD Total: 8.2 Miles
MTD Total: 100.0 miles
Total Remaining: 10 miles
So, no 110 this month, but I got to 100 for the 3rd time this year (I think).0 -
8 miles last week, 0 today, so 62 miles for the the month of December - didn't come close to 100 this month - but have been battling the flu, a cold and plantar fasciitis!0

This is waaayyy late, but I came down with strep throat last week (started feeling sick Christmas eve evening) and have been sick all week. I am finally back to normal, but haven't gotten a run in (or workout) at all in over a week.
Here is what I did get in though:
12/20 - 7 miles
12/22 - 8 miles
12/24 - 7 miles
WTD - 22 miles
Brings my MTD total to 65 which is way short of the 100 I had as a goal. I woud have gotten there had I not gotten sick, but oh well. It is what it is.
I am going to take a break from high monthly mileage running as I received Asylum 2 for Christmas and plan to start it January 2. I will still get some runs in but nowhere near what I have been doing, unless of course I hate Asylum 2, but I doubt that will be the case. I plan to run several halfs and another full in 2013 so I won't be gone too long. :bigsmile:
