A big drinking night for me is 4-6 drinks over the course of the night. I drink scotch on the rocks. That much alcohol is certainly bad for you, but the calories aren't that bad at 80 per 1.5 oz shot. I just think of it as a meal, skip a snack and have about half as much as a normally would for dinner.

If you can still count how many drinks you've had than you haven't had enough. Lol

I'm going to try to keep ti to 3 or 4 drinks, going to the gym this morning to earn them. :-)
My anniversary of my weight loss in Jan. 2 and don't want to mess that up by going overboard tonight, would even like
to the numbers go down a bit more by then.

It depends totally on what you drink.

I'd like to get pretty drunk. I'm a light weight anyways and don't drink as much as I use to which wasn't much at all even then. I only do it on special occasions so one night every few months or so won't make a difference. I might get bloated and gain water weight, but that goes away. I know being tipsy or drunk makes you make bad food choices, but it's one night. What I do is get some bad treats and then other things I'll get for finger foods are veggies, fruit, some leaner meat choices and some of those cheese squares and whole wheat or whole grain crackers.

maybe a couple glasses of wine, nothing major, so about 240 calories, 360 if 3 glasses, that will be it for me though...not worth it. however 3 glasses I will be lit lol

I don't get all of this holiday abstaining stuff. You're not going to gain back a significant amount of weight eating or drinking in for a single day/night--so if NYE is your big night to drink, go for it, just don't go all out on a regular basis and you'll be fine. That said, I'm probably not drinking at all, too much work to do.

Like someone else as many as it takes! I tend to stick to lower calorie drink options but given that I managed to stay at my goal weight from last year I'm going all out. It's only 1 night so you may as well have fun!

I thought the purpose of alcohol was to derail. At least that is what I have been using it for.

    I know, right?
This is our last chance to blame our over indulging on a holiday for a long time (unless you have a birthday coming up).

At least 7oz of Skol coming my way.

I do not like being hungover on New Year's Day, so I'll be keeping it at 3 ~ 4. Have fun y'all.

No drinks for me tonight. It would be no fun since all my friends are gone for the holidays. I'll save it for January ;)

All in moderation!! I plan on limiting myself to 4 oz of Grey goose.. at 70 cals a piece that's 280 total! I will have a buzz and that's all I need... Typically I would want to get **** faced for New Years, but at this point losing weight is more important to me!! Hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year :)

We are going to a kid friendly NYE party, so chances of getting trashed are nil, however there will be lots of yummy foods available :) I'll probably have 6 light beers and some munchies, but i'll work out this afternoon to try to boost my ability to consume this evening..

I'm going to have 2, maybe 3 glasses of wine...I've only been drunk twice in my life, last time was in the 90s, and that was enough. Yuck, I hate being sick like that!

Hopefully not too many because we like to have our New Years meal around midnight. Collard Greens, blackeyed peas, cornbread, sweet potatoes, meat on the grill. Prefer to eat my calories instead of drinking them for New Years ;)

I'm dying to try out the skinny girl margarita mix I got for Xmas. I'll indulge in a few glasses, but I'll pass on the cheese and chips. I got through thanksgiving and Xmas a couple lbs lighter, by choosing what high calorie treats were important to me and the rest I passed on. tonight, that margarita mix is what's important to me, the rest of the stuff I'll pass on.
