i'm not sure where you could find really colourful or patterned clothes. i do wish makers of these items would use a good, thick fabric for the crotch area though! i just bought a pair of pants the other week and the thigh area is already wearing. boo!0

You can get used stuff cheap on ebay and Amazon, as well as at your local discount stores, I'm sure. I get a lot at Modell's, TJ Maxx, and other discount retailers. I love colorful exercise clothes !!!0

I've bought stuff from Target and TJ Maxx. I haven't gone to the more expensive stores because I don't want to spend extra money for something that may not fit in a couple months.0

from a workout clothes shop
Really? People that respond to questions like this should have a New Year's resolution NOT to. It isn't needed. Keep it to yourself.
I love Target's Champion brand... Have eyed some of the Tech Gear at Kohl's but haven't bought anything... if you like stuff at Hot Topic then buy it and wear it... who says you have to wear a speficic thing to work out in?
However, workout t-shirts are usually more comfortable to sweat in than regular cotton t-shirts but they are more expensive so you have to decide what is your price range and then shop around.
I'm actually headed to TJ Maxx today to pick up some stuff (gift card for christmas). Saw some workout pants there that are similar to Champion at Target but are 14.99 versus 24.99.0 -
Khols always has workout stuff on sale. That's where I have gotten the majority of my stuff. Clearance rack is always a must.0

My favorites:
Thrift shops (got several sweat wicking shirts for $3-4 each), ON yoga pants $4 each
Walmart-sometimes
Rugged Warehouse- hit or miss on what they have but are really cheap
Just My Size-Glamorize sports bra, their Champion stuff is a little pricier than I like but they have decent quality stuff
Target-nothing fits me there
Old Navy-vanity sizing-their clothes fit, good prices, cute, run a little big0 -
When I was actively losing and getting smaller, I would only buy inexpensive like everyone else is saying, Target, TJ Maxx, etc. However, it really depends on your activity preference, so a sporting good store isn't such a bad answer after all. They can check your gait and help you select gear specifically for what you like to do.
I buy at Lucy (running pants that cross over to cardio yoga) and Sports Basement (pants for long distance, also super supportive bras and my running shoes) because I like very specific running wear that doesn't slide around. I hate pulling up my pants or joggling around too much when I run or do high cardio.
For lifting shoes, I always fine great Nikes at Nordstrom Rack, because my running shoes aren't the greatest for balance, I need something flatter for that.0 -
I got my workout Capri at Walmart. Also I have lots of old tshirt to wear. Also got my running shoes on clearance from Kohls. I'm good to go..0

Not sure where you are located but I find my workout clothes at Outlet stores -Nike, Adidas, Under Arnor all have options that will work with your style. But in the end it's not what you wear, it's what you do!

This may be strange, but Forever 21 has the cheapest workout clothes and they are cute too. Check out their web site under Active Wear.0

I like Nike drifit line. For tops I buy my teams shirts from fanatics.com or the like.0

Aeropostale.there joggin pants go on sale regularly and they have shorts and like cut off's.
Academy they have everything there, and you can rack up if you catch a sale
Nike Factory we have one on the boredwalk in Shreveport
Walmart pretty much got what you need for reasonable prices.
Target.
Ross. My favorite store EVER.
lol, im also a BIGG TIMEE sale shopper!0 -
I go to Kohls and ****s Sporting Goods. I love Under Armour. I tried Walmart (Danskin I think) did not like it, at least the capris with cotton, because they stretched out in the butt and waistline while I was working out, so I had droopy butt. LOL Def. get spandex to hold things 'in'. Be sure to check the clearance racks! Esp. if you go to a gym, it's heated so you can get away with wearing tank tops and shorts even in the winter! Also want to add, I tried Old Navy sports bras. Did not like those either. The fit was strange, for me anyways.0

Try outlet malls. More expensive than Walmart but Walmart stuff is cheap for a reason. Plus I'd rather pay $40 for a good sports bra than support Walmart lol0

I used to be an Athleta girl, but have been really impressed with Danskin fro Walmart. You can't beat the price, either.0

I really like targets selection0

Wow. I didn't expect so many replies. Lol. Thank you everyone! I love the thrift store, but there aren't really any gyms around here except mine, which is about 2 miles away or 3, and there is a different thrift next to that one. The only issue is there are not a lot of workout clothes at those stores near our place. I love Walmart! I just get worried about quality when it comes to bras, but I for sure will try it. Oddly enough, one of the best regular bras I ever bought was at Kmart. lol. I just went on Forever 21 and while I don't support a lot of the things the company does, they are low priced! I will look into these stores and the brands I had never heard of, such as Green Apple, so thank you for all the tips!0

I get all my workout stuff from K-Mart!!!0

I have found some great workout clothing at Kohls and JC Penny for excellent deals! I always be sure to check out clearance racks
My favorite workout gear is made by Under Armour, but they are a bit more expensive.0
