    Born in Philippines (mother is Filipino), but raised in MD, OR, CO, and VA. As an adult, lived in VA, CA, HI, PA and currently AR. Whew! I've moved around quite a bit. Father was in both the Navy, then the Air Force and DH was also in the Navy.

    I call Northern VA my "home".

    Originally from Greenwood, IN but have lived in Calgary, AB Canada now for 2+ years and call it home now. Though IN will always be "home" as well. But living in Calgary! :)

    And no, we don't live in igloos, we do have Christmas, we don't have sled dogs take us to work and believe it or not, it gets just as hot here in the summer as it did back in Indiana (no, it doesn't snow year round where I'm at, at least -- though Calgary has been known to have a few weird random snows.)

    Where abouts? I have family in London. Beautiful town, and awesome country!

    We're in the Northwest lower peninsula of Michigan.... and just to show ya how crazee life is here; we have an Onekama (go head, try and pronounce it, g'head!) phone number, a Bear Lake mailing address, we pay our property taxes to Arcadia, and the town we live in is on every state map, but doesn't exist! BTW, it's Pierport, lol! :laugh: Which is right on Lake Michigan.

    I grew up in the Detroit area - not "northern" by any stretch but it's neat to see someone from back home! :happy:

    I currently call Waterloo, Iowa home, although we would like to move to South Carolina at some point and make that our forever state. It just feels like home when we're there.
