I'm back!

Hi MFP friends!

Happy New year :)

I am ashamed to say I have been off MFP for a year and have gained a stone since my last visit. I am back on it and very motivated but so mad at myself for gaining back the weight. It has just been a gradual mix of eating a little too much and avoiding the gym. Unfortunately I had to cancel my gym membership due to finances and so I am looking for exercise ideas that don't involve the gym. I can't really run as I have asthma and find it a real struggle so any other ideas would be very welcome.

Also, I could do with some friends so feel free to add me.

Thanks x

Buy a squat rack! In the mean time get stronger with challenging body weight routines - on youtube you can find plenty!

Don't worry so much about dropping off and coming back. Just pick up where you are and get back at it. I posted some articles below about home workouts, and cardio for people with asthma. Good luck with getting started again, and feel free to add me if you like!

Ditto to the year off, I had logged on for 415 days in a row, lost almost 30lbs, and competed in a 12km assault course. It went downhill rapidly after that.

I've been back at it for a week and lost my 1st 2lbs.

If you can't run, then walk, maybe get a dvd or two...

I'm glad I am not the only one!

I've got a couple of DVD's that worked well last time (Taebo, 30 day shred) and so hopefully I'll get it back pretty quick.

Did a 5 miles walk on Saturday which felt good. I just wish I wasn't sat in an office full of left over Christmas chocolates :(
