Chicago Vs New York The Pizza Debate

NY !
Deep dish style is a casserole not pizza!
Pizza is like sex when it's good it's great and when it's bad, it's still pretty good.0 -
Clearly what Chicagoans call pizza isn't pizza. It can be tasty when done right, but let's not call it pizza. Pizza is done best by those located in the pizza belt: NY, NJ, Conn, RI and from time to time Boston.
I just had a pie from Pepe's in New Haven a few days ago. That's a tasty pie. In general, however, the correct answer to "What's the best pizza?" is "Neapolitan."

yep and as luck has it Phoenix of all places has one of the best places in the USA. Pizzeria Bianco.0 -
Neither. They both suck. I grew up in Louisiana though,so the food sucks everywhere else you go from there.
Though, stylistically, I like both depending on my mood...my favorite pizza in LA(and that's Louisiana as opposed to L.A.) is a New York style from a local chain, whereas here in TX it's more deep dish style.
From a resteraunt/pizzeria, it's Chicago style all the way if I'm eating to enjoy it.
Would that be Brooklyn Pizzeria on Vets?? I'm from N.O. and think the same as you; anywhere outside of LA does not compare to the flavor and variety of our food!
Brooklyn.
Im from Louisiana. I live here now. I moved to Brooklyn for the pizza.
Also, not all the people love a steady Louisiana version of a healthy diet. :P0 -
If it folds, its pizza.

No contest... Chicago all the way. Pizza and hotdogs and beef sandwiches.0

are you talkin about johnnies?0 -
I prefer St. Louis style, then NY, and I don't like Chicago at all.
I can't believe how people rave about Lou Malnati's pizza. I thought it was TERRIBLE. Probably the worst pizza I've ever eaten. They have an awesome beef sandwich though--love that!0 -

^^^^^You cannot go wrong with a Neapolitan Margherita pizza that has been wood fired in a brick oven. As far as who makes it? Lombardi's in Soho. The ultimate clam pie is the best thing I've ever put in my mouth.0 -
I can't walk down the street eating chicago pizza for dinner, dressed to the nines, in heels, running late and finish it by the time I get to the train without completely destroying my hair, makeup, purse and outfit.
Ny'ers are busy, ambitious, super awesome people with sht to do. Hell almost none of us have the patience for cars.
Different city. Different needs.
What do y'all do over there anyway?
Sports? Lolol I lie jk0 -

Did you drop over the pizza or the lady? Because the pizza looks good, but the lady is GORGEOUS! :happy:0 -

I love nearly all things Chicago, but New York style pizza is the best. In the hotdog category, Chicago wins out!0

I'm a simple girl with simple needs.
New York allllllllllllllll the way.0 -
New York. The REAL pizza =P0
-
New York all day everyday!!!!0

What's the pizza in New York that's cheese on the bottom, sauce on the top? Freaky freaky pizza. I had that when I visited a couple years ago and I don't know why but it just didnt taste the same.
But as far as authentic New York pizza, THAT's MY pizza choice over anything else.0 -

You know, not to mention ITALY...
But you're right. CT does have good pizza. I can't wait to go home to visit my grandparents this weekend and get some!0 -
No idea what either is like, home made pizza all the way for me.0
