I have a dress that I wore to the only hs dance I ever attended hanging in the closet. When I can put that on and it fits, I'll be happy.

I don't think that anyone will ever have the "perfect body" or will be "there".

    Think of it as milestones:

    1. Discipline to log everything, everyday.
    2. add workouts and don't eat back calories
    3. reach milestone weight goal.
    4. need to change pants.
    5. noticeable changes to body fat
    6. get down to single digit body fat
    7. wash board ABs!

Somebody stole my answer....Seeing the abs...all about the abs
  • It's an on going process. Even when you THINK you are there, you won't be satisfied. So then you keep working out:wink:

It was when I went too far and started to become hypercritical of myself. I was finding things to "fix" and it was driving me bonkers. So I realized one day... I looked pretty darn good. And it was then I realized I could tweak little things here and there... more visible abs, less fat, more muscle... but those things were going to give me negligible changes that most people aren't going to even notice.

For me, it's healthier to take a step back and let myself off the hook. To be ok with where I am right now. I think it depends on your ultimate goals and your personality type.

I'm 5'7", 120 lbs and in the lower 20's bodyfat % range. I'm very happy with it.
