Unsolicited Pictures - have you ever? would you ever?

So you're chilling at the bar. This chick at the table next to you is discreetly taking your picture. You don't know. BUT if you found out would you be creeped out, flattered, frightened for your safety?

My girlfriend went out last night and spent the night taking pictures of a cute guy she spotted at the table next to her. I thought it was crazy creepy but she didn't find it the least bit bothersome. She's been showing the pics to her friends today.

What do you think of this odd phenom?

Would YOU take pictures of a stranger if they were cute enough?
Would you want someone to secretly take your picture? (suppose it wouldn't hurt since you'd NEVER know!)
What's the point of it all?

Thoughts?

    No- that is creepy
(unless they knew I was taking the picture, then that is not creepy)

??? Why do people do this stuff? I just don't get it.

We need some unsolicited pictures people to come on and explain the mentality.

I thought you meant send naked pictures of yourself to someone else unsolicited, or receive the same.

I was at a little bar a couple of months ago, and this girl starts chatting me up. She was pretty cute, and the conversation was light, witty, fun. After a while, she busts out her phone, and shows me that she has a picture of me in her phone... taken without my knowledge a few weeks earlier.

It kinda creeped me out, but since we had already had a nice conversation already, it was just a little uncomfortable. I still wonder why she took that pic... I'm certainly no "looker".

When I went to Hawaii, some creepy older guy kept discreetly (at least he thought so) following me around on the beach and taking my picture. It was really awkward. I would not take pictures of someone like that. It's just weird.
  • I find that creepy and would be me feel uncomfortable if it were to happen to me.

If you're in a public place, you're fair game. You don't have a right to not have your picture taken.

Nothing good can come of this. The actual pictures themselves, or this thread. I have a feeling the answers are going to be insulting.

Needless to say, I would be very upset if I caught someone taking my picture discreetly, and immediately check that something was not amiss- like wardrobe malfunction-type thing.

I covertly took a picture of a stud-muffin in Vegas once. Mainly because he was a stud-muffin in his own 80's mind with the layers, bright colors, popped collar, flock of seagulls hair... His face was out of focus so I Facebooked it. Creepy? Maybe. Funny? Oh my yes!

I wouldn't like it if someone I didn't know was taking my picture.

However, I have taken a picture of a stranger - after I asked him - a VERY cute bartender at a disco in Oslo.
