Options
Hi

I'm just wondering what to have for dinner.

I have 428 cals left....plenty....but what would YOU do with it...

Just to clarify - I'm not worried by the amount - its 3pm on a Friday and I'm passing time ;-)

That's usually what my dinner is. Look at my diary for ideas.

You could have a very large salad with lots of veggies and some lean meat for well under 428 calories.

I do a stir fry (that's extremely filling) with 6 oz chicken breast, onion, mushrooms, broccoli, asparagus, jalapeno, red pepper and some rice for about 450 calories. Don't stress if you go over, make up for it by taking a walk or something.

428 Calories is very manageable! Eat a lean piece of meat, I love Chicken Breast baked with some lemon pepper or Sun Dried Tomato Marinade. 6 oz is around 150-200. Then eat some veggies ( I love Green beans). And some Jasmine Or Basmati rice, or brown rice. I can have 6 oz chicken, 1 can of green beans, and 3/4 cup of basmati rice for 410 calories.

grilled chicken breasts and a side salad. chicken breasts are around 150 each... and the salad would be the remaining calories. Depending on what kind of dressing. There are tons of options for 428! You could have literally ANY veggie side. :) Last night I made turkey meatloaf, had mashed cauliflower (taste pretty much like potatoes) and green beans. All for a whopping 435 calories. :)

I would make my homemade sweet potato soup (about 300 cals per serving) and a nice big fresh spinach salad, maybe with a piece of grilled salmon on it.

    1. Tilapia (100 +/-) , 1.5 cups of salad (40 +/-), 1/2 quinoa (110 +/-), Lemon juice for the salad ( 5 +/-), Weight watchers fudge pop snack size (45) = 300 cals
    2. Chicken breast (130 +/- for 3oz), add salad or veggies, lemon juice for dressing = less than 200 cals
    3. Chicken breast (130), Wrap (Ole Mexican is 74 cals), salad (20), Frank's buffalo sauce (0), Blue cheese dressing (120) = 344 cals
    4. etc, etc, etc....
Many options: 428 calories for a meal is a good number.
