1. Its not a journey.
Its an adventure of life changing epic proportions and its going to be fun and youre going to get to know yourself better than you ever thought possible. You wont even realize how little you knew until you start conquering insurmountable obstacles together with your brain and body.
*im sorry if any of this message is offensive.
Listen to this woman she knows a lot and can teach you even more!

....so, yes, this thread is a perfect introduction to MFP. Buckle up and enjoy!
Indeed. Snarky bantering is all part of the journey here.
Its funny cuz nothing was snarky or offensive until you showed up here. You are totally hijacking this thread with your negativity. Its people like you that make it necessary to have 100 "why are people on here such a-holes" threads.
Slams door and leaves.
Sticks head back in to say, Hi and good luck OP. Keep fit and have fun! Eat less, and better and move more
Exactly!
Welcome, OP! There are some amazing people here - you came to the right place!0 -

I am new to MFP also as I have only been on here 4 days now and everyone I have met so far is very encouraging & supportive and I have learned many things I never knew before that I can apply in my life to see my goal weight and stay positive during that journey.
Please feel free to add me because I feel the interchange of encouragement & support really helps keep each of us motivated toward our own personal goals.0 -
Just getting started on this journey to wellness. I look forward to meeting those who are sharing the same experiences, learning healthy habits and recipes and becoming a better me.

Dear Posters,
I removed several posts in this topic that were off topic. I want to remind people to please follow our community guidelines:1. No Attacks or Insults and No Reciprocation
a) Do not attack, mock, or otherwise insult others. You can respectfully disagree with the message or topic, but you cannot attack the messenger. This includes attacks against the user’s spelling or command of written English, or belittling a user for posting a duplicate topic.
b) If you are attacked by another user, and you reciprocate, you will also be subject to the same consequences. Defending yourself or a friend is not an excuse! Do not take matters into your own hands – instead, use the Report Post link to report an attack and we will be happy to handle the situation for you.
2. No Hi-Jacking, Trolling, or Flame-baiting
Please stay on-topic within a forum topic. Off-topic or derogatory remarks are disrespectful. Please either contribute politely and constructively to a topic, or move on without posting. This includes posts that encourage the drama in a topic to escalate, or posts intended to incite an uproar from the community.
When we are not able to get along its important that we not distract from the experience everyone else is trying to have here. Thank you for your understanding in keeping MFP a safe, supportive, friendly place.
Respectfully,
Olivia
