These aren't necessarily my FAVORITE bands, but some of the best concert performances

Elton John in Atlanta at Lakewood.
3 Doors Down, small invitation only performance.
Train, another invitation only performance, only about 100 people.
Pink Floyd, it was the Division Bell (yuck) tour, but they played all the good stuff, and I was front and center.
    Kid Rock

    Worst, Cheryl Crow.

Most fun concert evert: George Clinton

This is a weird range of music, but The Ramones, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings (unbelievable live), Neko Case, Daniel Lanois, The Beatfarmers, Paul Kelly.

All created a live experience that can't be replicated in their recorded music.

    The Beatfarmers!!!

    lucky

Ha! Seriously. I saw them many times, every time they played in Vancouver. A highlight was the time Country **** Montana danced on my table at a small club, but Country **** and The Petting Zoo with Mojo Nixon was also memorable.

Wow it is great to read about all of the great concerts people have attended!

My most historic would have to be

    Michael Jackson and Jackson 5
    David Bowie
    Stevie Ray Vaughn
    The Cure
    The Smiths
    Roger Waters The Wall

    but of all of them....
PHISH is my go to (I have been to well over 50 of their shows)

I need to add a few - though they pale in comparison to others' experiences I see posted..

Simply Red at the Orpheum in Boston, sometime in the 1980's. 1986, 1987? :ohwell:

Josh Groban at the (TD) Garden in 2011.

I have unusual taste in music. I know. :blushing:

I was a child of the sixties and saw so many concerts:

    The Beatles
    The Rolling Stones
    The Dave Clark Five
    Herman's Hermits
    The Animals
    Bob Dylan
    Ian Whitcomb
    The Beach Boys (several times)
    Sonny & Cher
    Chad & Jeremy
    The Byrds
    Peter, Paul & Mary
    Cream
    and many more...
I would say The Beatles and PP&M were the most memorable.

I am SERIOUSLY jealous!!! (in a good way, of course!)

Possibly King Crimson introduced by Mayor Ed Koch in Central Park.

    Or

The Grateful Dead at Nassau Colliseum

Any of the late 90s punk rock shows I went to in high school - Strung Out, Lagwagon, Face to Face, Good Riddance, 88 Fingers Louie, The Misfits, Murder City Devils, Suicide Machines, Bouncing Souls, AFI, Guttermouth, Link 80, MXPX, Less Than Jake, and a handful of Warped Tours... just to name a few. I still have every concert ticket from every show I went to.

But the best was probably the Warped Tour 2004 in Vancouver BC where I got to watch Bad Religion's set on stage and meet the band, thanks to a friend who knew them.

I saw the Smashing Pumpkins on the 'mellon Collie' tour - that was pretty awesome.

Pearl Jam were very good, as were the Foo Fighters.

I saw Bush too - they sucked.
