Are you a man? 140 seems low for a 5'11" man. My son is 16 years old, 6'2" and weighs 190, but he's pretty fit. Even 140 for a woman would be low, imo. And, are those your legs in your profile pic? They already look pretty slim, so not sure if you really need to lose 35lbs....? Anyways, I'm female, 5'11" and my intial goal was 160. I'm at 159 right now, but I'm maintaining and lifting heavy now to work on lowering my bf%/body recomp. So I'm not really worried about the number on the scale anymore.0

I'm 6'1" and am at 185 in my profile pics and somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-14% BF0

I'M 5'10 1/2". My initial weight goal is 160. I figure once I hit that, I'll see how I feel and look and decide from there if I want to make any changes.0

That sounds low for a guy but looking at your legs that may be a good weight for you. I'm 5'10" with a goal of around 150 but that might be too low for me. Good luck to you0

140 is low for a male. plus weight doesnt matter i want a good body composition and to be lean. i would care if that was at 170 or at 200 i just want to be sub 15 percent bodyfat.0

Even with a small frame 140 seems low. I'm a bit surprised a dr would recommend such a specific and low weight. As long as you at a healthy weight (which is a range) then it really comes down to how you feel and preference.
For me, I'm 6'1 and like to be somewhere around 185-190.0 -

Sorry that web address is so long :noway: It links to a healthy weight chart - 140 is a little too low! x0 -
My fiancé is 5'11" and ranges between 140-145 and he wants to gain at least 15-20 pounds. So 140 is healthy but I would go more on how you look and feel, because it is on the low end.0

If you are in good shape, with a good muscular build, you can easily be 170-180 and that's pretty low IMO. Don't focus on weight so much as bf %0
-
I'm 5'11.5 & my goal is 185 lbs and 9-10% bf.
I look fit at 220-230, but I don't remember the last time I was below 12% bf, so thats my goal.0 -
im 6" , but my frame is about as opposite yours as can be....
i think I set my goal at 260lbs, but id probably be perfect at around 245lbs.
I was like 267lbs in college and bod podded at 17.5% body fat so....
Im really not interested in having a 6 pack or getting that lean; I find at my size/muscularity I like my looks a lot in the mid 200s...but I can understand the attraction to 6 packhood for smaller framed men I suppose...well in the summer at least.0 -
My doc told me around 150-155 but i think i would be fine around 175. I dont want to be too skinny0
-
I'm 5'10 and was hoping for 150-155 but transistioning to maintain at or below 160. I was 165 prepregnancy0

im a female, 5'11" & mine is 130-135. then I can get hired by an agency, but I might end up having to lose an additional 5-10 lbs.0

I'm 5'10" and mine is 210-215.0

i just want a fantastic body.0 -
I'm 5'11" and male. according to charts my ideal weight is between 130 and 170 according to BMI. I can't imagine 170 let alone 140. I'm shooting for 190.0

160lbs puts me in a healthy BMI range0

I'm 5'11" and 140 for a guy seems low but if you are heathy and feel good...
I have an initial goal of 195 as that is what I have to be to wear a specific uniform. That's my focus. I will reevaluate when I get there and see how I look and feel. I have a long way to go but at least I'm heading there!0 -
Here's a suggestion.....get off the focus of a specific weight and target your Body Fat %. A healthy range for men is 8-15%.0
-
I'm shooting for 73kgs or 160 lbs. But I'll see when I get to 75kgs how I feel and look if I want to go further.0
-
I am 5'9ish and weigh 165-170. Couldnt imagine losing 25 more pound ...and you are taller. Just seems crazy.0
-
I think weight matters much less than body fat %. I am 5'10, and my highest weight was 185 (200 while pregnant). I am at my lowest now, which is 134. However, it doesn't look good because I have always had a body fat % that is too high. So, I started NROLFW, and I try to get 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. If I gain weight in the form of muscle and lose fat, I wont care too much about what the scale says. I used to be so focused on a *goal weight* but now I want to get strong.0
