Magic Pills
Options
I see a lot of people asking about the effectiveness of various "magic weight loss pills" and it got me thinking. What if there WERE magic fitness pills, but the side effects were terrible? Would you still take a pill that gave you insta-abs, but also horrible bowel-control (think Olestra x 10) issues? What if there were pills that made you really toned, but also really dumb? Where would you draw the line and what would you give up for the perfect body?

I'm barely willing to take a vitamin unless my micro for that specific nutrient (I'm talking to you, iron) is really low. I wouldn't give up anything for a perfect body. Living and the mind is the most important thing.
Except these. I'd take these.0 -
i'd take abs over intelligence. any day.
living life thoughtfully and without abs sucks,
and dumb, pretty people are always so happy with life.0 -
I don't care if it hurts
I want to have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul0 -

This magic pill takes your fat and gives it to some random stranger.. . moral dilemma, or no brainer?0

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooope.
I may never have abs you can grate cheese on but I'd never go for an instant fix that gives you aweful bowel control.
I mean...Nuh uh.

This magic pill takes your fat and gives it to some random stranger.. . moral dilemma, or no brainer?
Cue rationalization -
If it gave it to someone already obese, they'd probably not care/notice.
If it gave it to someone in great shape, they'd probably be much more able to burn it off quickly and suffer little/no side effects.
So screw 'em, I'm in :laugh:0 -

oooo... interesting. very "button, button"
I'll bet a lot of people would be willing to do this one, and i have the kind of luck that i'd wake up 50lbs heavier three days in a row.
What about one that gave you biceps but all your teeth fell out?0 -

I'm fairly certain this exists and many many people have taken it. It's ok though, you can always put giant tires on your hummer and nobody will be the wiser0 -

Who needs teeth to slam endless protein shakes all day?0 -
Nope.
I enjoy putting in the work.0 -

A girl always feels prettier when she's standing next to someone bigger than her, so, umm, would anyone say no?0 -
If there was a magic pill to make me thin but it had horrible side effects - I would take it because there are pills out there that would take care of those side effects. lol0

I have a really good dental plan. Dentures would be okay  But I wouldn't want to be dumb or in the bathroom all the time.0 -

Meh, wouldn't take the pills. My intelligence is average and my physique is average, not worth changing too much.0 -
Nope.
I enjoy putting in the work.
This. 100% this.0 -

Dude, if those abs in the picture are yours, then I'm downgrading my goals to 'average'.0 -

I'd probably say no dice, knowing what I know now about myself from DOING the work. Having the eggs to step up and DO IT, and STICK with it, has taught me a lot about myself and finally given me a sense of self-worth that I never was able to attain before. I don't think I'd be willing to trade that for thin thighs and washboard abs. My brain lets me put together workouts and diet that work. That's awesome.0
