Are we counting our mental well being as part of our health? In that case, feeling comfortable and confident in my own skin is what is really driving me. Being fat is bad for my self esteem :(

I'm not (in my opinion) quite heavy enough to be too terribly worried about it effecting my health though I think it's incredibly important. I guess you could say I want to lose weight for my figure but really, more importantly I am worried about how I FEEL about myself. And I feel better when I look better, lol.

    i agree!
  • Health. Great for people doing it to be hot, motivation is motivation regardless. Hotness is the icing on the cake to health IMO.

Healthy. If I ended up "hot" by whatever standards of society has at that time I reach my goals..cool. that's nice. If not..at least I'm healthy :)

Both. But I'm not gonna lie, the shallow part of me was always the driving factor.

However, I mostly do it so I can constantly keep improving.

I can rebuild her. I have the technology. Better, stronger, faster.

Both..I need the body to go with my complete and total awesomeness...and I might as well be healthy to boot.

Both. To me healthy is most attractive. So my goal is healthy because to me that equals hotness. Being healthy is what makes my food most enjoyable to me, knowing that I am nourishing my body (I'm not trying to lose). And I'm also a dancer, so I am motivated to improve my fitness, skills and abilities (another reason health is important because good health equals better athletic performance).

    Both.

I want to be strong, fast, and flexible and in great shape for my health, longevity, and quality of life.

I also want to be able to wear absolutely gorgeous clothes and have them fit me beautifully.

Run fast, do just about anything, look hot, be healthy... eat more food most of the time. Yeah, those are my reasons.

    Love it!

I don't think my definition of 'hot' for a chick fits most women's definition of hot, so i do it to be healthy, and to get ripped (I like lifting those heavy weights lol)! ;) And yes, the good body is supposed to be the by-product of living the 'healthy' way, or something to that effect ;)

Why choose just one when you can have both. Besides, they often go hand in hand

They aren't mutually exclusive. One can be hot and healthy, and vice versa. Depends on the subjective view of the person.

I started trying to lose weight to be hot, but kept doing it because I felt so much better. So, I guess health? However, I will enjoy the way I look once I drop more weight...

Who wouldn want to be the most desirable thing in a room? However, guess what?... We are either A. going to get old or B. going to die prematurely.

So if you dont plan on dying that means youre going to get old. That will happen so I think the goal should be for health and hopefully the hotness will follow. Because theres no such thing as a hot 70 year old who cant change his/her own diaper because they had a stroke or a hot 60 year old missing a foot and smelling gangrenous ulcers because they were overweight and let their diabetes get out of control.

No my goal would be to hopefully be able to still walk and be active when I get old and hopefully I'll get fit enough to look a bit like Sophia Loren.

Both, but leaning towards hotness...I keep active and eat clean 90% of the time and don't even think I will change that, so I feel like I've already tackled the health end of it.

Both, I want to be healthy and feel confident, but i also want to be hot!
  • I tell people it's because I want to be healthy, but I really just want to look good naked.

I have never been over weight. I have as a habit to eat healthy and be active walking a lot and working out once in a while....

Right now I'm doing a big change and more than usual because I want to look smoking hot!... maybe superficial, but it is what it is...

Both! But what I like best of all is feeling strong. Empowered. Like I can do anything!

Agreed! I love how strength training makes me feel! Makes me feel like a bad beeotch! Lol..even though I'm really not. But...honestly, even though, I am doing this for my health...hotness is definately a huge motivator...

I'm a gainer but same applies. Both are important to me but hotness is definitely the driving force for me...Its a bonus that what I need to do to achieve that level of sexiness does make me stronger and healthier anyway.
