Hi, my name's Doug and I'm a math nerd. It's been..... 28 seconds since I last said something nerdy and math-y.

Q. What do you get if you cross a sheep and an elephant?
A. |sheep|.|elephant|.sinθ

DAMN, off the wagon again.

    B*tches love math poetry.

    -4(-cos^2(45)+sin^2(45))^(1/2)) > 2(-4u + 1u) + 3(-3u+1u)

    simplifies to:

    -4(sqrt(-cos^2(45)+sin^2(45)) > (-8u+2u) + (-9u + 3u)

    simplifies to

    4*sqrt(-1) > -6u - 6u

    Simplifies to

    -4i > -12u

    simplifies to

    i<3u

    AWWWWWW

Sorry. One of my professors called me an idiot-savant.

Capable of reciting the tax code, but can't get past simple 2+something is never mind.

    ( (12 + 144 + 20 + 3 Sqrt[4]) / 7 ) + 5*11 = 9^2 + 0 .

    A dozen, a gross, and a score,
plus three times the square root of four,
    divided by seven,
    plus five times eleven,
is nine squared and not a bit more.

My algebra professor at university used to say "There are only 3 important numbers in Math - 0, 1 and 8. But you must turn the 8 on it's side."

But then again he was demonstrably insane, after spending the first lesson entreating us excitedly to look in the mirror and say numbers to see "how ridiculous [we] look".

Yup, the superscript was lost when copying. I shall be sure to correct it immediately. Pedant power, go!

Topics that are only relevant to a select group of people are better suited for MyFitnessPal Groups than our public message boards.

Hurry. I'm getting a panic attack in here.

Heh, wait until the numbers bugger off more or less altogether, and then you run out of first the English alphabet, and then the Greek alphabet. I always remember when we were getting deeper into set theory and prof said, "since we've pretty much used all the English and Greek letters, at this point we start on Hebrew, with Aleph".
