    5'2" 127 and i wear a 2-4 in jeans and 4-6 in dress pants

How is that possible? I'm 5'3" and when I weighed 127 (granted it's been a while) I was a size 8 or 10. How can that be a 2-4? LOL. You must be really solid.

See that seems way off to me.
I've never been a 10 and I've been almost 20 pounds heavier than I am now.
I'm 5'4 138 and wear some size 4s from Nordstrom, Old Navy, and Target.

How is that possible? I started at 5'3", 150, size 12. Now I'm about 7 pounds down and my pants are already getting loose.

Sizes never make any sense to me! I'm 5'-8" and at 150 I still wear a size 12....
I always knew I had wide hips but I've always been a big size. My sister and I have a similar problem - when she's very skinny, legs don't touch and everything she's still a size 5. I'm envious of you people with small frames!

My body is really oddly shaped. I guess you can say apple shaped or maybe pear. I weigh 220 and wear a size 11/12 and they are not stretch nor are the tight. I buy my jeans at Fred Meyers, JC Penny, and Old Navy....

    Height: 5'7

I'm 5'9.5"... started off around 190lbs at a UK14-16, now down to 156lbs and wearing UK12. Some 14s still fit me though! I have quite wide hips so I doubt I'll ever get lower than a 10, which is the lowest I can ever remember being.

I'm 5'4 and 169 pounds. I wear a size 12. FYI for comparison, I have no butt (flat-flat-flat!) and carry most of my weight in my stomach and thighs. It really does depend on body composition, because some women may have bigger hips, rounder butts, or thinner thighs.

    SW~230-pant size 18 (tight)
    CW~166.4-pant size 10

How can you weigh 20 pounds more than me and be a pants size smaller? Is it because you're shorter? That seems really odd.

i'm about 208 pounds and i currently wear a comfortable size 14 jeans from Express (which may or may not be true sizing) and a not so comfortable 14 in true religion. i'll more than likely be a size 12 when i'm 195? and i estimate that when i reach my goal weight of 145 i'll be a size 6.

    i'm 5'5 by the way.

things that effect sizing are 1) sometimes people say they wear a size that they shouldnt be wearing :noway: 2) different stores have different sizing. so i can already wear size 12 stuff from old navy but i cant in express 3) body composition

Easy everyone carries weight differently but also those who workout a lot and gain muscle weigh more but look like they weigh less, does that make sense? Everyone is built differently, I'm 5'2.5 and weigh 127 lbs and wear a 3/4 or a 5/6 depending on the jean.

Not to mention vanity sizing. Sizing can vary depending on the store.

I have a large waist compared to my hips, since having my son. At about 150lb my waist was a size 14-16 UK (US 10-12) but my hips were a UK 10 (US 6). After losing 30lb my waist was a UK 12 (US 8) by measurements and fit in a 10 easily (US 6) and my butt was a UK 8 (US 4). I'm 5'5".

I find it fascinating how differently shaped we can be at different weights. If I was a size 6 at 150lb I don't think I'd have needed to lose weight.

    I want them TOO!!!!!!

    I am 5"7 and weigh 165 pounds and wear a size 12.
I am also 36 which I think is worth saying because the shape as well as size of my body has changed as I have gotten older. And had 2 kids (where DID my waist go?)

I'm 5'7" and stuck eternally at 160 lbs., and a size 11 pants. I hate that stupid double digit size. I wish I were back in a size 7, like I was all throughout college...
