I'm 5'8 and was 181 lbs wearing a size 9/10 on a good day. 22 lbs later I'm in a size 4. Most of this was due to diet. Now that I'm exercising it has only promoted loss of inches. I used to exercise consistently and never saw a huge change in my clothing. Now that I've been eating clean it definitely made the difference.

    I'm 5'10, 180 and a 12. I started at 215 and a 18.

I have been in the 180s for a few weeks now but still moved into a 12 recently..... love the weights.

I'm 5' 7", 160 and wear an 8/10 in jeans. I want new jeans so bad!! I refuse to buy them until I see the scale move (in the right direction! :) Hang in there!!!
  • Right now I'm 224 still size 18 but they are very loose on me, then again I got up to 240 and was still able to fit in size 18. Hopefully by the time i'm down to 200 I will be in a smaller size:)

    5'1
    cw: 128lbs
    size 2-3
*My pant size is the same at 118lbs as it is now but they are pretty loose at the lower weight

    sw: 145lbs
    size 6-8
  • Not sure if guys are allowed in this thread, but I started wearing a 54 inch pants and am now wearing a 38. Still a way to go, but boy does 16 inches off your waist feel good and open up some new fashion choices. Not sure about skinny pants though.

I've realized that how you look in the pants matters more than dropping a size. I have worn a size 8 since the last 6-8 yearsand I've been 10 lbs + and 20 lbs - in that period. My pant size never changes. But I did look damn good when I wore the same size pants with a nice pair of heels when I was 20 lbs lighter and had a lot more self confidence.

SIzes frustrate the hell out of me. Currently, at 5'7 and 3/4 and 158 lbs, I wear a 13/14 in pants. I'd love to be a size 6, but when I was 128lbs and lifting heavy, I was still in 10 or 12s....

    Starting 14-16's at 200ish lbs.
    Now 4-6 at 126lbs.

How long did it take you to lose all that weight? I am at 167 lbs right now and I want to get down to 130 llbs!
  • When I started this journey, I was 224 pounds and was snuggly fitting into a size 14. I lost 40 pounds (gained 20 back) and was able to fit into a size 10. Sadly, I cannot fit in those but my 14s are still too big to wear.
I have heard when you lose 20 lbs you drop a size. But I think it differs per individual.

It took me about a year and a half.

This must be highly individualized because I'm 5'1". I lost 34 pounds and went down 4 pants sizes.

Same with me! I'm 5'4, and I went from a size 16 to a loose size 10 (UK sizes) with 48lbs lost.

Lost 40 pounds, when from a very tight 14 to a 6. It seems the larger you start out the slower you lose clothes sizes. I think there is a bigger difference between a 18 & a 16, than there is a 8 & a 6. Why, I don't know. But that's what I've noticed.

Keep up the good work - be patience and diligent.
