I'm currently reading a series by Janet Evanovich about a woman that becomes a bounty hunter...albeit a bumbling one. She always gets her man though. I'm on the fifth book.

I saw the movie for this. One For The Money with Katherine Heigle
I've wanted to see the movie but just haven't had a chance yet :(

Loved Rebecca. I read the Harry Potter series starting like 10 years ago and need to read it again. Currently reading Beautiful Creatures and is really good so far. Somehow I got into all the YA fiction- Twilight, The Hunger Games, even Percy Jackson-which is youth, but fun and quick to read.

  • I'm supposed to be reading "Wicked" for my Book Club....I'm about halfway through and totally lost interest.
Wicked is a hard one to get through-it gets better toward the end, keep going! I've got "son of a witch' in my pile of books to read, but can't bring myself to dive in yet.

I have.. a few times. I have a strong connection to that series. That's never really happened before with any of the millions of books I've fallen in love with. If I were taller, I'd be Tessa. Haha, If they make that into a movie as well, that roll is my dream.

It was one of the first female author series (outside of HP) that I've ever read. I find that I really enjoy things from a female authors perspective, it is much different than a guys. And they oddly enough have a fascination with homosexuality.

If you want more female authors, check out: Trudi Canavan and Cinda Williams Chima.

For my course I am reading Van Diemen's Land by James Boyce. Its a history of the Island state where I live from the perspective of its indigenous people and the convicts.
While I have been reading Van Diemen's Land, I put on hold Cormac McCarthy's Sunset Limited. I've fallen in love with McCarthy's work since discovering Blood Meridian in June last year.
    kind regards,

    Ben
  • Just finished "Gypsy Boy" by Mikey Walsh and am about to start "Death Comes To Pemberley" by PD James

I'm currently reading Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson.

My goal is to read at LEAST 1 book a month. I love reading, I just never make the time for it.

I have a goodreads account and i put in 100 books for the year... only done seven so far.

In my goodreads 2013 challenge, I'm at 21 of 150. I read on my treadmill.

I have a goodreads challenge too for 2013! I'm at 14 of 175. So that means that I'm a little behind.

I saw that you read a lot of YA. My all time favorite YA is the River of Time series by Lisa Tawn Bergren. I read mostly adult books because I get a little frustrated with teenage antics, specially the way girls are portrayed as extremely emotional, but the female characters of River of Time are great.

I listen to a lot of audiobooks since I have a 45 minute commute. I'm working on the Dexter series by Jeff Lindsay. Just finished book 2 and waiting on book 3 from the library. In the meantime, I'm listening to The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

Also working on a couple real books. New York to Dallas by J.D. Robb (book 41 of In Death series) and The Hammer of Eden by Ken Follett (not my cup of tea, but I'm going to finish it anyway)
