Everyone does this I bet. Every once in a while I eat something at work or at home that warrants my coworkers or boyfriend to give me a stinky face. But I love them! Do you have any "weird" foods that you absolutely love? Stuff other people finds gross?

I really like hearts of palm and I eat them whole alot of the time as a snack. I also like Kombucha fermented tea drinks. I have cut them out because of the carbination, and they really do have a foul taste, but i love them and crave them. And I put alot of horseradish on my sandwiches!

I eat whole raw tomatoes like they're apples. I could just sit there and eat three or four raw and I always get a stinky gross face from my husband. I grew up with a vegetable garden and we always had an abundance of fresh veggies in the house so that's why I do it. I love tomatoes! Oh, and mustard. lol. Plain yellow mustard and a spoon. Yes, I'm weird. lol.

Onion and cheese sandwich. I grew up eating these at my grandmothers. Bunny white bread, kraft singles and a slice of onion (usually a sweet one). My husband thinks it is nasty so I eat them when he is at the fire station. Also when I am making something with cheese and onions (like tacos or burgers) I always eat peices of them while I am cooking. It drives him crazy.

I love onions. I eat them almost daily in salads, soups, sandwiches. I add them to pastas, casseroles, etc. I'm not like nuts about it- I don't eat them raw but I do have them quite a bit.

Nothing else really comes to mind.. but I know that I have some more food quirks. For example, I cannot eat an apples unless it is in slices. I just cannot seem to do it- it doesn't taste the same to me!

Actually...I agree with crazyjkgirl, an apple just tastes better sliced up. Not sure why either, but I prefer them that way too.

My weird food - mustard sandwiches.

Hehe, I really like those little cans of flavoured tuna -- it's not too weird a food but I tend to just eat them straight out of the can with a fork, with my afternoon coffee. That usually gets me a few weird looks at the office. .

I like dill pickles dipped in ketchup. Super high in sodium but a yummy salty taste. I don't do it alot though but it gets me looks.:):)

I grew up eating mayo on saltine crackers.... haven't done it in a long time, but that was a wierd food of mine. LOL Now my coworkers think my wierd food is cottage cheese... but I love it. Just plain or with fruit or just pepper in it. Yum!

Hmmm. It's a habit I picked up at boarding school and my husband gives me that "are you off your rocker" look when I do it, but
a piece of toast spread with marmelade, topped by an egg is SO yum

I also used to put fruit chutney on just about everything I ate. Too much sugar in it, though, sigh, so I gave it up.

I drink rooibos (red bush) tea a lot, with milk and sugar just like black tea, not plain like a herbal tea, and everyone calls it my "weird tea"

I also will and do eat marmite and vegemite straight from the jar with a spoon. I can't get enough of the stuff sometimes, it must be a sodium thing.

Also, and I don't have them so much now that they're sooooo high in calories, but peanut butter and cheese toasted sandwiches are AWESOME!

My aunt eats peanut butter and beetroot ones : / now she's just plain nuts!

One of my favorite things to get at lunch is a Mega Greens Smoothie from Grilla Bites (an amazing organic and partly raw cafe). It is BRIGHT green and has kale, spinach, parsley, a few pieces of frozen banana, and organic apple juice. It's crazy good but all of my coworkers think I have lost my mind when they see a thick bright green smoothie on my desk.

Oh and I only have 1 or 2 a year (literally) but I LOVE grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwiches - oh boy they are GOOD!!!

LOL I just thought of one more - this has been a lifelong habit. I don't put any salad dressings or oils or vins on my salads. Just give me plain salad please (waiters look at me like I am from outer space!!!)

My "weird" food is fibre. I'm known as the fibre girl in my circle of friends. My husband goes on and on about how everything I eat has fibre in it (it's not quite that bad...lol).

I LOVE toasted tomato sandwiches with lots of mustard! Yum! (My family has an entirely different opinion of them, though.)

 I'm still searching for someone that can relate! The calories are atrocious, so I wouldn't recommend the addiction.

I like salt on my watermelon and apples and I like to eat granny smith apples entirely including the core!

I also like this asian dessert called halo halo which is beans and fruit in syrup.....really it tastes weird and the first 4-5 times I ate it I hated it and now I love it.

One of my favorite snacks is a small bowl of cottage cheese with some chopped up prunes on top. My boyfriend teases me and makes some joke about how I eat like his grandpa, but I think it is delicious.

Also, I got so addicted to roasted or sauteed brussels sprouts this past winter that I ate them at least twice a week.

    And.... I like sardines.

I dunno. It's salty and sweet. :ohwell: Just grew up with it, and so I think it's great.
My mom served smoked oysters at my 10th birthday party.
She thought she was being fancy, but they ended up as ammunition.
    Probably best served to adults.

I'm well known as the weirdo within my circle of friends:

Herring / sardines straight out of the can
Pickled beets as a "snack" - or eating bowls of borscht at my desk (people usually can't stand the smell)
    Marmalade and bacon omelettes
Fermented (i.e. smelly) foods like kimchee and sauerkraut
pickled eggplant with a baba ghanouj topping
pork belly (seriously, this is a wonderful, wonderful meat)
organ meats (liver, heart, tongue - haven't made them in ages, but they're great)
    raw cabbage hearts
    raw milk
    scungilli salad
big green olives stuffed with cloves of garlic
Mo's "Bacon" chocolate bars or "red chili" chocolate bars
cinnamon and clove in chili or spaghetti sauce
...any big "game" meat you can name, I've made an effort to try it or cook it. Hunting it, well...not yet.

But the one weird meat I hate - scrapple. I happen to live with someone who LOVES it. Blech.

I love grilled peanut butter and jelly too! I grew up on it. YUM! But I don't consider it weird...

My DH and I like to mix up a bag of tobasco Cheez-its and a big bag of peanut butter M&M's. Salty, sweet, spicy, cruncy...YUM!!! I've tried to get other people to try it but they refuse. Fine, I say, more for me!

I was a chef for a few years so mine are weird :)

Mint Sauce sandwiches or just neat...love it :)

Grill Sea Bass coated in Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce and Nando's hot sauce (yup together!)

2 Egg omlette mixed with milk and BBQ sauce; yum yum

Brown Sauce all over a roast dinner (I'm not allowed at home dinners but it's lovely  )

kimchee. grew up eating it and i can eat just a jar of it for dinner. i don't need rice. rice would make it great but it's not necessary. thank god it's low in calories  and it can stink up a room to high heaven if left out too long.

I love Liverwurst! Not with onions and mustard, just bread or by itself. My grandmother used to give it to me. Plus I remember watching A Very Merry Cricket....
