Would have been Elvis Presley at the MGM Grand in Vegas in early 70's. Unfortunately, my folks thought I was too young and I ended up stuck in the hotel room with grandma baby-sitting while the rest of the family went to the gig.
Did let me go to a show a year later - Tony Orlando and Dawn.
Yep, first gig could have been Elvis in his Vegas-era prime but - instead - got stuck with Tony singing "Tie a Yellow Ribbon".0 -

The Grateful Dead, 1991. That was my first big stadium concert. I had been to several smaller, in a bar, shows before that, the only one I can remember that might ring a bell for some is T.S.O.L.
Reading through this whole thread I couldn't believe I was gonna be the first to mention the Grateful Dead - still surprised I'm only the 2nd. My 1st show was May 9, 1981 at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY (Long Island) - first of MANY times seeing them & their related projects. By 1991 I had seen them 40 something times, went to Giants Stadium in 1991..........0 -
