Mine was Harry Chapin, also on the rotisserie at the Cape Cod Melody Tent. I forget the year, but was probably 1979.

    Sammy Hagar, 2007ish.

Mine was also Sammy Haggar. I think I was 14 and it was with my mom, sister, and sister's husband. I don't know if it counts if you go with your parents, lol.

My first real one was at the Mud Island Ampitheater in Memphis, Tn. Everclear, Maroon 5, Kill Hannah, Field Day (later changed their name to Goodbye City). I have some interesting (but not necessarily good) experiences at that show: almost getting arrested, meeting my favorite band, and my friend and I writing a show review on our Web site that Field Day actually linked to from theirs. Good times.

None since have been so... eventful, for better or worse.

Leslie West warmed for Rick Derringer who warmed up for Edgar Winter, then Rick Derringer joined Edgar Winter and finished off the concert with a long version of "Frankenstein". 1973, Houston Coliseum. My ears rang for a week.

Kenny Rogers  in 1992. I was 10.

But now, concerts are my thing. Some people like to shop or gamble or travel or whatever, but I'd take a good concert over almost anything else. I've seen 60-some different people, some lots of times. My favorite is Kenny Chesney!

My first concert was Backstreet Boys 1997 when I was 11. I will always love them, but my brother converted me to a rocker not long after. First rock concert was Limp Bizkit in 2000. That concert changed my life, we stormed the general admission floor to the song 1999, and I got thrown into my first moshpit. In hindsight, not a great environment for a 14 year old, but I will never forget it :)

Have to admit it was after I was an adult and had kids. I went to see George Strait and Tanya Tucker at the Tulsa State Fair...WAY back when. LOL The same year, I went to see Huey Lewis and the News, also in Tulsa. hahaha

Edited to add: Oops, I just remembered years before that hubby and I went to see Sonny and Cher in concert. Yep, I'm pretty old. haha
