Didn't you all know you should only be eating iceberg lettuce and nothing else!?!? You should never put something that could be considered "bad" for you in your mouth ever. If you just ignore its existance in the world you will never want it!

But why eat Iceberg when you can have Romaine? Iceberg is the redheaded stepchild of leafy stuff. ;)

I'm not as smart as most but just to clarify-

An 1800 calorie/day diet consisting of french fries, cookies, hot dogs, white bread, spaghetti-o's and beer is equal to an 1800 calorie diet of chicken, fish, nuts, avocodo and vegetables and fruit as long as there is a calorie deficit?

    For weight loss? Yes.
For health? Depends on the person.

This. You'll lose weight on both diets, but probably feel better, maintain more muscle, have healthier skin and hair, etc on the second. However, I prefer a mix of the two.

Seriously how did that stuff ever get so popular? I prefer green-leaf and spinach mixed.

Because it's about as expensive as dirt.

Best thread I've read in quite awhile.

<-- Still eats way too much processed **** but is doing okay calorie wise, energy wise and weight loss wise so far. Working on the rest little by little.

^^^ TRUE THAT. I would also that it is all many people are ever exposed to. They'd have to explore their leafy green options to discover something else.

    Here it is:

Any food that takes you over your calorie goal for the day...................................

Dude you amaze me sometimes with your over simplified stupidity.

Ignoring nutrition by just focusing purely on the calorie count of foods is pathetic at best.

No. Obviously you missed the overall message. That you don't have to stop eating anything.

It's about learning moderation. Having an all or nothing attitude leads people to fail.

    THE END.

I have found it is a lot easier to lose weight eating food you enjoy than depriving yourself and believing in myths. jmho

Agree whole-heartedly. Hence why I'm working on slow and steady changes while fitting into my caloric goals.

Nonsense... Just go hop on a cardio machine and use the ever so accurate calorie counter or even an HRM and run until you burn enough calories to eat them back with whatever that food might be. <insert sarcasm> LOL

Lol, if you know ANYTHING about my posts at all, you'll know that first and foremost I ENDORSE making sure that any individual meet their macro/micro nutrient daily goal first. Then whatever calories are left over, eat whatever they want.

And really "stupidity and pathetic"? This from a guy who thinks ALL oils are bad for the arteries? So in other words, olive oil and fish oil? Thanks for playing.:drinker:
