Mayo --- Yayo, or Nayo?

Mayo makes me want to throw up. Even as a little kid I would not eat mayo. Nowadays I will eat small amounts of vegan mayo (taste preference) with tuna, and that is all.0

i love mayo... i just would rather get my fat from different foods like whole eggs, oils, nuts, and nut butters.
Isn't mayo just eggs and oil?
Basically, yeah.
Egg yolk, oil, mustard, lemon juice and vinegar.0 -
mayo is basically the same as fried eggs , good in moderation , i have it when cutting or bulking0
-
i only like the japanese one, really. Kewpie. Which sucks because at 11g fat and 100 cal / tbsp I don't have it very often  I'm gonna check out their low cal version though because mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm0

My mother lives off mayo! I don't hate it but I prefer a Greek yoghurt dressing instead.0

Yes it is.
I make my own, using olive oil and egg yolks as per the recipe, but using a processor I drizzle in a lot of cold water, keeping the thick consistency. Tastes lighter and fluffier, and had fewer calories.0 -
Don't like, but just as a taste preference. Give me spicy mustard any day!!
spicy mustard!0 -
Canola Mayo when we have. Pretty much for Cole Slaw and mixing up Tuna for sandwiches. Since we use so little, we'll take the full fat made with a healthy oil.0

Mayo is ok, but it doesn't "hurt" me to go without it. I made a tuna salad sandwich last week only using yellow mustard, red onion, and a chopped up pickle. If I had looked ahead, I prob would have put in a little avocado in it to, but it was just as satisfying to me as one with mayo IMO.0

LOVE MAYO - must be Hellman's
Funny story - when I was a kid, Kraft Miracle Whip was referred to as "mayonnaise" by my parents. And I hated the taste of Miracle Whip, so for the longest time I thought I hated mayo. Imagine my wondrous surprise when I discovered true mayonnaise - it was like finding out that Santa is real after all.0 -
For most sandwiches Mayo (Hellman's regular only please) is a requirement for me. I do use a smaller amount than I used to however.
If a recipe requires mayo, I often use a substitute such as greek yogurt to cut out some of the calories/fats.0 -
yayo! But it has to be Duke's....
Interesting..... I just went to the website to see who carries this in my state and they list 4 stores, of which I am familiar with 3 of them.... all 3 are considered "low end, old, and non fancy" stores. Yet, I see that Duke's has been around since 1917 according to their web page... I wonder why they haven't broken into the mainstream markets?0 -
Everything in moderation! So... YES!0

Can I be the only person who absolutely detests mayo? If that were the only food, I'd probably just starve to death. I can't stand to look at it, touch it, smell it...and its not going anywhere near my food. It gives me cold chills and makes me all gaggy just thinking about it.0

I use mayo for deviled eggs.. that's about it.. but hellmans real mayo.. none of that light fake fat free stuff (fat free fat? HUH?)
I've replaced it in just about everything else with avocado or greek yogurt.... tastes so much better.. just deviled eggs are not the same without mayo (and spicy mustard! YUM!!)0 -
BLECH. *gags*0

HATE mayo. The smell and texture make me gag.0

Isn't yayo slang for cocaine? I'll take neither thank you.0

I love mayo, but it has to be Duke's. It's one of the few brands that doesn't have sugar in some which-way, shape or form as an ingredient.0
-
I love kewpie japanese mayo - but have just discovered using greek yoghurt as a condiment instead with things like fish, curries etc...0

Hellman's Lighter than light mayonaise is delicious. Its only 10 calories and for me taste better than the full-fat versions.
I dread to think what that stuff is made of!0 -
I like the way it tastes but somehow the 'idea' of mayo really turns me off. I much prefer mustard.0

I don't know, but I know the stuff is gross, if you ask me.0 -
Nayo! Why don't I just spread it directly on my thighs?! Anyway, I don't like the moisture.0
-
YES! OF COURSE!0
-
I prefer miracle whip. We only have mayo in the fridge for specific recipes, and even then it's a light version with olive oil.0
-
Yayo for me but I only use it sparingly in my tuna or on a sandwhich. I use the type made with olive oil which is much, much lower in calories for only 1 TBSP.0
-
yayo for mayo!!0

I like mayo... prefer Miracle Whip though. Even though i like it, i won't get it on anything at like jimmy johns or any restraurant. I have NO IDEA how much they are putting on there, so i will stick with my spicy mustard instead.0

I'm the same way. Of course I am also that way about mustard and salad dressing too.0
