Make sure you are eating enough! If you aren't eating enough then zero weight loss or even weight gain will occur. Feed your body with good foods!

You seem to be very sad. I'm sorry.

    Eat more filling foods.

Don't weight yourself for the first month and then only expect a pound or so loss.

Count your calories as accurately as you can.

    Exercise.

Drink some water, you might be thirsty and then eat a little something. Don't worry about 5 days not showing up on the scale. It is frustrating but it is still too soon. Make sure you are eating enough because as strange as this sounds when I don't eat enough the scale stops.

I had this problem, too. After talking to my doctor, I found out I wasn't eating the right foods. He told me to eat more protein and eat more often. After eating 5 meals a day with 80-100 grams of protein for a week, I lost three pounds. I don't know if this would help at all, but like the others, look at WHAT you are eating and be sure it's the right stuff to fill you up. Also, drink lots of water...that fills you up, too!

Feel free to add me as well. Any support and motivation is welcome!

Definitely go for more protein! I was having the same sort of issue but after having found the right foods/amounts for me I have been dropping weight and have not been full. My go to things to do are to do some activity for 20 minutes or so to see if maybe I was just bored and to drink a glass or two of water. Good Luck!!

Okay, this made me laugh. I'm pretty sure I've done the same thing before when stuck at work. Enjoy it!

OP...most people start here and they just go balls to the wall with the most aggressive formula MFP can give you. Most people have extremely unrealistic expectations of magical overnight weigh loss and the pounds just melting away. Truth be told, 1,200 calories per day, even when properly netted with exercise isn't enough for a vast many. You have to wrap your brain around the fact that safe and healthy weight loss is extremely gradual (.5 - 2 Lbs per week)...and the less you have to lose, the more gradual it should be. Too many people select the 1,200 calorie goal and then add a bunch of exercise and don't eat to fuel that activity and net a very low calorie ...this creates too big a deficit...not only are you hungry, but if you're doing this, you will ultimately stall your metabolism.

    Eat. Just, eat.

I'm still struggling with that wisdom. After all, eating is what got me here.

5 days is probably too short a time to expect results. Drink lots of water, eat at a moderate deficit, and give the body some time to work.

    Exactly.

Do something consistently for at least a month and see what's up.

Eat al the calories you are allowed.

Add any exercise you can each day.

    You will lose weight.
