2 cups of chicken stock to all those veg and 4 cans of tomatoes? Really? Why? Sounds like you could just use water for more flavour!

I made a similar soup last week but instead of tomatoes, it had fresh mushrooms. I did add chicken. Cooked all day in the crockpot. And, the good news is, the whole family loved it. :)

Thanks James, looks scrumptious and I love cabbage soup (a sort of Mennonite German borscht my mom used to make). Also love the name but have to confess that I, too, was disappointed to discover it had nothing to do with zombies.

My partner makes something similar with addition of a little Sriracha or home made chili sauce - it's a great filler despite low calories. Plus it makes you sweat like a pig.

Overall it looks amazing, but I absolutely hate tomatoes in any form, even the smell makes me sick... any suggestions?

I love my Chilli, but with this soup it seems very small amounts can have a big impact!

Maybe its a general soup thing, as I can usually pile on the chillies on other foods, but when I put them in to soups, I have to be very careful!

    Cheers,
    James

I've been using this entry in the database:

    http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/calorie-chart-nutrition-facts

I think the my recipee was based on this originally but it was many years ago!

    Cheers,

This would work as a quick lunch at my job ...... or an appetizer before dinner ........ I make ratatouille a lot (basically eggplant, zucchini, onion, tomato sauce) ...... this would be a nice change.

    Thanks for sharing :drinker:

    Your picture is hilarious!
