Ultimate Goal: ♥ 140 ♥
Now that i'm getting closer to the 140's... I am tempted to change my goal! Everyone says the last 10 lbs are the hardest to get off but I have been losing weight steadily and i'm wondering if my body could get into the 130's? What do you all think???0 -

How tall are you? I would say if you are still within the healthy range for your height, then go for it! Its good to be an overachiever! :bigsmile:0 -

:laugh: I have changed my goal 3 times now! I started with a goal of 175, but that came so easy I changed to 170. That was pretty simple, too. So I changed again to 165. That goal wasn't as easy to hit, but I decided that 165 was BARELY inside "Normal" BMI for me, so I changed it to 160. I am STRUGGLING to stay at 165 . I'm hoping to start seeing some loss again soon.
Therefore, I think it is perfectly acceptable to change your goal! However, like kintegra said, just make sure it's still a "Healthy" or "Normal" weight for you.0 -
Yeah I totally know what you mean about changing your goals. At first I thought 175lbs would be my goal. Not that I'm there (174 ) I don't feel like I'm done. I want to see what my body would look like 10 lbs lighter. And I want to make sure I can get some definition and muscle.
So my new goal at the time is 165, but who knows maybe shoot for 160 :laugh:
BTW - I'm 6'0" tall in case you were wondering.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful long weekend. The weather is unpredictable here in Atlanta! I'm not sure if we'll be grilling out, but I am hoping to try making a vegan creme brulee tonight for a dinner party we are throwing. We'll see if tofu really can mimick the yummy real thing

Sorry I haven't been on much, I have now finished my classes and am OFFICIALLY a 2nd year medical student! WOOHOO! It's been a heck of a year!
Anyway, I put on 2 pounds since I got my new scale, and that sucks, but I have been eating poorly. BUT, I did complete all of my C25K runs like I wanted to! : ) It's amazing how the body can adapt even after years of sedentary and the addition of children!
So, I'm back on the wagon and looking forward to dropping more weight and running more and feeling good!

Well I went out camping with my parents & got a good walk in this morning. I really wanted to go do some swimming, but the pool is so crowded I decided to come home to my own pool & get a work out in....and damn the luck I get here, get my suit on, go out to check the chlorine, then start skimming a bit & here comes the THUNDER & LIGHTENING! What the heck??? It was gorgeous 91 degrees & nothing but blue sky! Oh well...so now that I'm here I'm gonna do some type of workout video I guess! Damn rain!
I'm on a mission if I get down 1.8 lbs by tomorrow (or Tues since its a holiday) then I will be 18 days ahead of my goal!!!0 -
Well I bought Jillian Michael's 30 day shred when I was at Walmart yesterday, so I decided what the heck & got it out! MAN OH MAN was I sweating myself! Dripping everywhere! :bigsmile: What a workout! Then when I was all done the sun was back out shining so I jumped in the pool for 10 minutes! Glad I came home to have some "me time"! Now I'm headed back to the campground with the family! Hope you all are enjoying your weekend!

I was down to 164 on Thursday, but then what did I do? I went and had a Memorial Day sodium fest. If you can't tell, sodium is my albatross. I have a REALLY hard time avoiding it when we're at parties and cookouts because I love it so much. Even though I know that going over (even by a little) makes me retain water like a camel, I still do it.:grumble: Doesn't help much that fresh fruit was sorely lacking in my diet this weekend. Right now we are headed to the store to purchase the first week of groceries for my summer. Lots of fruits and veggies are on the list. I usually have a tough time with snacking when I'm at home, but I'm planning on keeping us so busy that we won't have time to snack TOO much! And when I DO snack, I plan to have plenty of fresh produce to eat.0 -

No weight loss this week, at least I didn't gain though. Went to the river with some friends, glad I only had that one hot dog Saturday night and drank water while everyone else was drinking Dr. Pepper, beer, and mixed drinks. I didn't track my eating, but am sure I went WAYY over on my sodium and sugar, thanks to drinks from Sonic during the drive and other snacks. Next camping trip will be with the family, so it will be lots easier to stick to lots of fruits and veggies and not so much processed stuff.
Anyways, goals this week are to track EVERYTHING and drink lots of water (no more yummy drinks from Sonic).0 -

Wahoo--I actually dropped some poundage. I didn't expect it, but I will take it. I am not eating after 8 and asking myself if I am really hungry before I eat. Apparently it is working. Hooray!
I love the 30 day shred. I am doing p90x now and that is what got me ready for it. Go Jillian!

Hello eveyone! I'm happy back at 174. Doing my last week of Brazil Butt Lift this week and will also be doing a 3-day shakeology cleanse as soon as my direct mail arrives hopefully by tomorrow. I can't wait. I want to do this before starting a new round of Brazil But Lift.
Today was great. Went on a long SUPER steep hike thru laguna canyon and to the beach. So it had definitely been a healthy holiday for me.

Well I didn't get out of the 240s like I had hoped. :sad: I stepped on the scale 3 different times this morning hoping it would change....no such luck! Oh well! Hopefully June will be a better month! At least its still a loss however.
This week I am done with Curves so I will be doing as much other activities that I can. I bought Jillian's 30 day shred a few days ago. I did it once so far....what a workout! LOL So I'll still work on that! :bigsmile: Have a great week everyone!0 -
Wow, Labor Day is what, 14weeks away!! Eek! Starting weight for Larbor Day Challenge: 232.8....
Ok, now for a better post! I know it's mid week, but I'm posting my previous weeks weigh ins. My main challenge for the first week was to keep out soda 100%, it's actually been 2 full months since I quit cold turkey and I don't miss it at all!! Then my challenge was to actually start exercising! From there it was to walk 2miles in one day which I have since done at least once a week, some weeks I managed 3miles in one day!! So starting for the rest of the week (through Fri) my challenge is to start the Couch to 5k plan, today being day one and since I started it mid afternoon in the midwest, I'm really paying for it now as I was dripping of sweat and only managed to get in 15min...anyway, good luck to you all throughout the week and see ya back here on Friday!!

Had a discouraging week.. the guy at Giant thought I was STILL PREGNANT = tears, No clothes fit = frustration, and seeing myself in pictures = not fun. So, I'm using these moments for motivation. THis is going to be a better week. YOu ladies are all so motivating..thank you!0 -

No more *****-footin' around! I'm at the week I want to go from losing 1 pound a week to 2 lbs a week as my goal, so I WILL meet my net calories/exercise goals EVERY DAY this week, even if I have to run around the block at midnight to burn some extra calories! Bad moment: I bought a new scale so that I could weigh in more precisely... It weighs in at -- count 'em -- 6 lbs more than my old one!!! No wonder my pants are so tight! I know I could just adjust my weight and goals, but at this point, it's too psychologically jarring when I'm trying to feel good about every pound I'm working to lose. The new scale will have to wait until later in the summer!0 -

Well, I lost 2lbs since my last weigh in! Woot Woot!! This past week's challenge was to start Couch to 5k, which I did. Tues was W1D1 and I only manged the 5min warm up and 10min of the actual plan. I also felt the need to do this in mid afternoon in the midwest, which was dumb on my part. So Wed and Thurs I did W1D2 and W1D3 in the morning and it went much smoother. My legs felt like jello a lil bit last night and they are achy this morning but I'm gonna continue with W2 next week! I even got a few facebook friends wanting to start it next week! My challenges for the following week ( aside from C25k Week2) is this weekend....I will be out of town at a friends house til Sunday evening and they often eat out or bbq. This weekend they are doing both, so I will be bringing lots of water and a few good snacks for me to try and keep me fairly satisfied. When I do eat with them, I will be watching my portions and hoping to play on their Wii (even for just a few mintues). However, we will be 4wheelin' this weekend so I'm hoping to find how much that burns (roughly). I'm gonna try and walk some of the trails and not come out covered in ticks. Also next week, I plan on walking for a good 2-3full hrs by walking to my local mall (mile away from home) and around the mall, then back home. I finally made it to 239.0 - down TEN POUNDS! :bigsmile: Yay! This morning I also took my measurements again & in only 3 1/2 weeks I'm down a total of 7.75 inches! Can I get a WOOT! WOOT! ??? I am SO proud of myself! :bigsmile:
This was my first week of not going to Curves, since I decided not to join after their 30days/$30 trial. It was a good workout, but I don't feel that it will challenge me any more. I will just get more out of the gym once I re-up my membership in August. (I don't join in the summer cause I know I won't go...I'd rather do outside activities.) So I have done a lot of walks here & there, did a lot of yardwork & gardening, have been on my treadmill, Jillian's 30 day shred, and even jumping on the trampoline! Doesn't sound like a lot but I really had a FUN week, AND stayed under my calories! Next week I'm going to attempt the C25K again, since I made the promise to myself & BRU! :laugh: I am actually doing the 5k Race for the Cure next Saturday with my neice. I told her we would walk, but maybe do a few jogs here & there! :bigsmile:
Tomorrow night I have a night out with my BFF & we're going to OLIVE GARDEN! And wholly freakin cow....I went to their website to check the calories :noway: However, I am going to treat myself & have what I want! But I'm preparing ahead....tomorrow morning I'm going to start out doing Jillian's 30 day shred, then if its not raining I have lots of landscaping to do in my yard so that will burn a lot of calories, and I'm also going to get my bike out finally & take a ride around town! I'm gonna work for my OLIVE GARDEN! If I don't get it all in before dinner, then I already told my BFF & she said she would go for a walk with me afterwards. I may also jump on the treadmill again when I get home if necessary! I'm learning in my new lifestyle change to PLAN AHEAD! :happy:
