I don't see how this is accurate. What kind of flour did you use to get your figures? Most flours are 100-110 cal for 1/4 cup so half of that for one tortilla would be 50 or 55, wouldn't it?

I was wondering about the calories as well as the amount of water. I went looking for the tablespoon equivalent of 0.5 oz, which would be 1 tablespoon.

This weekend I picked up some La Tortilla Factory whole wheat, low-carb tortillas, which are 50 calories apiece. They are pretty good! Will try this recipe and also look for the low-carb/cal tortillas at Trader Joe's that have been mentioned on here.

Aren't they at least 50 calories each?? 1/4 cup of flour = 100 calories...

That depends on the flour you use there are lower calorie flours availabile like Sunflower Seed Flower is only 209 Calories for a cup but wheat or white flours are about 400 a cup

I finally got around to making these today for my lunch. Advice to anyone who makes these, you need to weigh your flour instead of just measuring. My level 1/4 cup of flour (I used all purpose) weighed 37 grams, for a total of 131 calories. One serving of flour, at 110 calories, is only 31 grams. My tortillas came out to 65 calories each. So, if you're really tracking your calories, you need to weigh instead of relying on measurement alone or you're going to be underestimating your calorie intake. They were delicious, btw.
