What is that one food item you refuse to give up that may not be the best for you?

Hot Wings!
But I've cut down on how many I have and how often I have them.0 -
I haven't given up anything - I just keep it within my calories for the day. There's no need to deprive yourself of the foods you love, you can still fit them in and make it all work.0

I haven't given up anything completely but I do rarely have soda anymore. Usually only if I'm hungover, for caffeine in the morning. Everything else is pretty fair game.0

Peanut butter.

I believe in moderation and don't outlaw any particular food , but.......if it came down to a choice.......bacon, beer, and cheese (and yes I'm a girl). Seriously "one thing"? then.....bacon.0

have you looked for healthier alternatives or do you ONLY account for the extra calories?0 -

Piiiiiiiiiiiiizza. Or, more properly, some divine combo of bread+cheese that is hot and gooey and delicious.0

Just one thing that's not good that I refuse to give up? Hmmm... I've got a whole list of them.
Pizza, tacos, enchiladas, tostadas, chocolate, ice-cream, cookies, pastrami burger, plus a lot more that didn't immediately jump into my mind.
Now, instead of having one of these whenever I want, I plan for it and make it fit into my daily calories. Also, I watch my portions. If I go to our favorite Mexican food restaurant, I'll ask for a box with the food. I pack up half the meal and take it home for another meal.0 -

I do this and a combination of finding healthier alternatives and/or sides. Sweet potato fries, steamed veggies, broccoli, etc...0 -
Crunchy Peanut butter! Chocolate! And I noticed today the custard/ice cream shops are starting to open up for the spring/summer season! That will be hard to resist!0

I agree with using the calorie count ie. 1200 for the day and fit it in. I had good time management skills with a long time career and now it's fit in the exercise. As I have been in pain from sciatica 11-2011 to present However the 20 pounds I have lost so far must have helped along with gel heels in my shoes lol Not depriving yourself is the ticket but healthy eating is good. I have healthy eathing habits but do have trouble with protein so I need to plan a day to week out I am looking for menu plans that other people have. Please share. tomorrow is get my "fancy" out to the lake and walk again...well at least try. I used to walk4 miles a day but I will be happy with 2 miles 5x a week.0

Interesting. So, if I'm tempted to eat steak I should just burn down my local steakhouse.
[rubs hands together] You may be onto something!0 -

Not a Food but, I just can't give up my Diet Dr. Pepper.0 -
Nutella!
If it's in the house, it's all I think about.0 -
I haven't given up anything and I don't plan to. But I DO choose a healthier way to get the same thing most of the time. Instead of going to Wendy's and getting a large fry, I bake some crinkle cuts in the oven. Do burgers with leaner beef in the George Foreman (or do turkey and/or chicken burgers instead).
The one thing I can't seem to give up is fettuccine alfredo. And that's something that's really hard to get healthy and have taste as good as the bad stuff. So that's a treat for once in a great while.0
