I'm in! I was planning on starting tommorrow anyway and I am also going to aim to do mon, wed, fri.

I am actually going today to buy a treadmill so that if the weather is crappy (like it has been all year so far)I won't have to skip a workout.

I want to do the 5k breast cancer run/walk on oct 3rd in my city so that is my motivation.

I'll do it!! I've been doing the 30 day shred but I've been thinking about adding in the c25k. I just have to make sure I get up really early in the morning or it will be way too hot to run thanks to the extra humid Florida summer we're having down here.

I'm in! We have our annual RunFest on October 30. This year I'd like to do the 5k and who knows.... maybe next year I'll do the half-marathon! I will start tomorrow and also do the M-W-F schedule.

I am in the last week of Get Runnings C25K program for the iPhone and let me tell you that it really works! On June 12, we will RUN our first 5K race thanks to C25K. The first couple of weeks were a huge struggle where I gasped for air just running in 60 sec increments but now I can actually run for 30 min at a time with a below 11 min pace average! Go for it and DON'T GIVE UP!!

I love this program, I literally went from never running in my life to following this program and I ran my first half marathon in Oct. 2008. Life got in the way, so I haven't run consistently for about a year and would love to re-start the program.

I did my program today and it was really quite easy. I did a bit of a cool down too so I did 19 minutes of walking total and 6 minutes of running.

    anyone else do it today?

I am on week 2 right now. hope to get this program completed as I am wanting to do a 5k this fall. go at your own pace and take your time. some folks have to do weeks over until they feel comfortable moving to the next level/week.....and that is OK! don't want anyone getting injured...so advance with caution. Good luck folks! you can do it!

I still haven't gotten around to re-starting, but I am planning to start next Monday. I am currently also doing the 30DS, so I am hoping to fit them both in. Great job to everyone!

hey all you soon to be 3 mile joggers/runners! how are ya doing with the program? I did W2D2 today. I had the speed a little too high during my jog, then I got a side stitch. UGH! was able to finish tho. def makes a difference on the quality of food I have eaten during the day as well. the sluggish feeling is hard to push thru that's for sure. have a great evenin'!

I did week 1 day 2 and found it a bit harder....but mostly since I was unprepared (forgot to tie my hair up and it's waist length so I got super hot, I wore the wrong runners and I exercized in pants not shorts) ugh...... I did finish though so yay for that.

next time I will be totally prepared!!

hope you are all doing well on your C25K quest! I just finished W3D1!! the 3 minute jog went well...I was unsure how I would tolerate that part. I even added a minute of jogging at the end! Keep at it everyone....we can do this!

I used a blackberry when I did it - just load these podcasts onto your blackberry and put them in the music folder. http://www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcasts/podcasts/podcasts.html

I just did week 3 day 1 today and it was a fantastic workout. I found that today was easier than week 2.

Does anyone notice that even though they have only been doing this for a few weeks that their legs are getting totally more shapely/toned?? I am.......truly amazing!!

just finished w4d2....whew! mamagooskie, yes, I have noticed my legs getting toner, more muscle definition. also, I have been keeping track of my b/p and resting heart rate. both have improved and are lower now, since I started doing this. the other day my heart rate was 48! and...when I am exercising I have noticed my heart rate drops fairly quickly back to my walking hr when I stop jogging....so I know my lung and heart function is improving as well!
