Health concern, doctor no help, *women's issue*

I started training harder recently. I had started doing the Max Insanity month in the morning (max HR 170), and then I'd go to the gym in the evening. I was doing really well but then all of a sudden I had very heavy, bright red bleeding.

Here's my background... The pill I take is a 91 day pack. This means that I go 11 weeks without a cycle, week 12 is when I go on the placebo. I've been on this for 4+ years without ever having a problem.

I have been working out since I was 18 (6+ years).

This has been going on since February 12th on and off. It starts off as spotting, becomes heavy and bright, and then trails off again. I currently still have a week and a half of pills left before the placebo. I took 3 pregnancy tests, and I went to the doctor on Feb 28th to confirm no pregnancy. I'm officially not pregnant. The doctor told me that between my BC pill and the stress I'm under, it's causing my lining in my uterus to be unstable, and that I'll stop bleeding...hopefully. It did stop, for about a week and a half, and it's back again as of three days ago. So I called the doctor back... they first told me the exact same thing (BC pill/ unstable lining)...then said to stay on the pill and continue working out because the benefits of exercise outweigh an irregular cycle. Okay, fine.

I stopped doing Insanity all together for the time being, and I'm only going to the gym. I'm trying to keep my HR under 160, in case that's a factor in all of this.

Am I the only one? Has anyone else experienced this? Please, advice is needed before I have a small break down.

I had that all through bootcamp because I was under so much stress. When I got home I changed BC to the nuvaring from the pill and it went to normal again. There was a gap between both types of BC and I think my body reset itself then. I just got off of it for a month.

Here is some more information I'd like to add.

I had asked about switching pills, they said no I shouldn't right now. The doctor I go to couples as my OB Gyn because we live in rural Maine, and unfortunately, I won't be able to switch Primary Care Managers until we move in June to NC (military). I just had my annual exam in December, and my pap came back normal.

I was on a 3 month regiment several years ago. The doc thought it would help because I've always had period issues. However, during the entire time (1 year) I kept having bleeding when I wasn't supposed too...they told me to give it time and sometimes spotting happened (but what I was doing wasn't spotting). I switched back to a one month cycle and things went back to "normal."

Did by any chance you get switched to a generic? That happened to me with Yaz (the pharmacy switched it, I questioned it, and they told me it was the same - my reaction to it was not the same and the following month I made sure I was back on the namebrand).

Exercise/stress can cause our bodies to react the way you describe. Good luck with getting this fixed.

Yes, I've always had the generic version, it's just so much cheaper than the brand name.

Thank you for your help :)

    Thank you!
I am on regular BC but am experiencing the same issue.
Not new to this pill, only started when I began my weight loss/fitness journey.
I didn't realize that stress from lots of exercise could be causing it, something to think about.
