YES! not completely, but it has drastically improved. I used to be self conscious about it just in my underwear or a bikini but I love the way my legs look - no dimples, lumps or bumps (except in certain lighting). I've been doing cardio workouts, I do 30 min HIIT on my elliptical 3xweek, 60 minutes of spinning once a week, yoga and go for walks everyday. I have also tried nivea but haven't seen the results fast enough, I just have a sugar scrub and rub it on my thighs - helps with circulation and smooths everything out

I got rid of my cellulite on my *kitten* and thighs (and i had a LOT, I am a petite girl with a booty) by increasing my ratio of muscle to fat. Hot yoga, strength training, and DIET.

I've not found anything to get rid of my cottage cheese look, but I have found that stretching (yoga), strengthening exercises and a heavy duty massage has helped to reduce the look.

For the massage, I make an exfoliant, prop my leg up in the shower and attack it. Then rinse off, and apply any lotion.

    The exfoliant I make is:
2tbsp coffee grinds (from that mornings coffee)
    1tbsp raw honey
    4tbsp coconut milk

Sometimes I'll add a tablespoon or so of cocoa powder. And because I love this stuff, I use it on the rest of my body as well.

I don't know if the actual ingredients matter or not, but I think it might be a combination of the exercise and increasing blood flow to the area from massaging it. I wonder if google has that answer?

The coffee is the main ingredient that helps reduce the look of cellulite - the scrub I use has coffee grinds as well - not sure how it works but it "enhances fat metabolism", haven't seen any studies, but can honestly say it works

I had this enormous cellulite dimple on my left thigh that I thought would never go away even though I was thin and in shape. I began using a roller and putting all of my body weight on it and rolling back and forth over the cellulite area, I cut out all starches and began running 5 miles a day six days a week. It's completely unnoticeable now. It's still there of course.. cellulite never goes away but it can't be seen. I only notice it if I run my hand over the area. I used to have a reasonable amount of cellulite and now it's basically gone... it's unnoticeable anyway. Good luck!

I have to agree that running helps tremendously.

However, it does boil down to genetics. I only run half marathons, but I've seen thin, very in shape marathon runners with cellulite. It has to do wtih how the fat attaches to the skin and gets worse with age.

Also, absolutely no soda or other carbonated beverages because they make it worse.

    No. Just no.

    :noway:

You haven't seen any studies because there are none to back up the effectiveness of caffeine applied topically. The caffeine cannot penetrate the skin for starters, so any suggestion that it can magically "enhance fat metabolism" is incorrect.

The coffee scrub by another poster above, however, looks fab (and I might just try it myself!). Getting the circulation going makes the skin look smoother, improving the appearance of cellulite (combine with a cheap moisturiser for smooth skin). Any scrub will do - I mix table salt with baby oil and a few drops of essential oils for a cheap and effective scrub.

I wonder how much money is spent every year on anti-cellulite creams and potions and wraps and scrubs.... if you want to pour money down a hole just go buy a boat; that way at the end of the day at least you have something that is real.

BOAT!!!!!!!! I agree with this person. Boats are awesome.

I have, nearly 100% on my arms, calves, thighs and back. ONLY because I lose weight, I do cardio and I lift. I still have some on my stomach and butt and with a bit of loose skin there, it will look like cellulite, no matter what I do, but I'll continue working on it.
My thighs used to be 100% flab and now they are tight, firm and have muscle definition. That's my goal for the rest of me. lol

"Once a man has seen a couple real-life women naked, he knows that real-life women have cellulite and stretch marks and jiggly thighs and other normal little traits that the media tries to convince us are flaws. Men who expect women to be perfect are men who have more experience with porn and magazines and blow-up dolls than real-life women. Any man who judges your worth on the basis of the presence of cellulite is only doing you the favor of letting you know that he doesn’t have much experience with women, and that he isn’t worth your time."

    - This is SO true. HOLLYWOOD IS FAKE! REAL Women don't look like that (except my wife of course :) Men who are searching for Perfection...will always be looking. Love me my REAL Woman!!!

Nivea Q10 Body Firming Lotion. It comes in a big pump bottle. In two weeks you should see a difference. I swear by this stuff.

    I shall sure try that

I really wouldn't waste your money. It will improve the appearance of your skin, which may make the cellulite less obvious but any inexpensive moisturiser will do that. As others have said, the only way to possibly reduce cellulite is from the inside. Nothing you apply to your skin will affect the fat under it.

Tried it and it doesn't work. Strength training (particularly squats and lunges) and a self tanner will do wonders.

I am really very luck :P and not trying to be a cow but as big as I am and as much as I have yo'yo'd I don't seem to have cellulite. I am sure it is in there somewhere XD but according to my research here is the story... read CLAIMS that cellulite tends to come from animal products in the diet and that cutting back on them helps to reduce it over time. Also says that consuming a great deal of water will help to break it down. I don't know if either of these is true...but I am vegan...annnnnd a camel.

So glad you are finding success! Hope you keep it up and feel great!

The only thing that completely eliminates cellulite is a computer.

LOL I love this and is so true.. COMPUTERS make models perfect.. and who wants to be perfect?!? I love my body and that's all that matters!!

That being said here are some tips.

I've tried- Nivea Q10 and do notice a differnce
I wear zaggora hot pants when I work out and have noticed a difference
ALSO.. this works but is so MESSY.. I mean messy. I stand in my shower for 10 minutes while it's on..and have to clean out the tub after
Take coffee grounds about 1 cup (mine was 2 keruig filters of coffee grounds)
mix with 1 tbsp olive oil
    1/2-1 tbsp Vitamin E gel
I also put a couple squirts of nivea Q10 in there..
    Mix all the ingredients
put all over your stomach, legs (you can also put on your biceps)
    wrap saran wrap all over
Let sit for 10 minutes. (the site I got it off suggested putting on a sweatshirt to get warm- but it's so messy I didn't do that)
    Wash off

My results were super soft skin, a noticeable reduction is stretch marks, and it seemed smoother.
Would I do it again.. eh maybe, like I said it was SUPER messy and I don't want to clean it up lol

Also, I've heard full body wraps work really well.. that's next on my list to try. Just waiting for a groupon or living social to come up.

    :)

I know you can never get rid of cellulite but mine is much less visible since I have lost weight! :) I have been doing weight lifting more and this has helped considerable in that area. It has also given me more definition. I'm almost okay with being seen in my bikini bottoms that are a skirt.

I am 5'3", 40 yrs old. 13 yrs ago I was fit, firm 112 lbs, ran 4 times a week, did weights twice. I was slim, toned, and yet the cellulite hung on. I am 8 lbs heavier now, the cellulite more apparent, but no more stressful to me than my stretchmarks. Both are obviously something I can't change. I'm really not willing to change my eating/workout habits to the drastic measures it would take to rid myself of the cellulite.

If you are fit, and healthy, be happy! Cellulite is a small thing.

I don't even care about the Cellulite... its the stretch marks (and a scar from an emergency, life saving surgery) that cause me the most stress... I have come to terms with the fact that I will never be seen in a 2 peice swim suit EVER again.... so maybe, one day, I will be in one and I can look back and tell myself "I TOLD YOU SO!"

Doing squat and lunges has helped a lot....I have noticed that my Cellulite appears and disappears. It appears when I lose and gain, lose and gain... It goes away by itself when I am at a stable weight.

It gets worse each time it comes back too... if I had only know that the first time I let myself gain weight... LOL

I assume that's because the skin becomes thinner as people age, making cellulite more visible. Cellulite is not caused just by fat, but by the interplay of fat and structures in the skin that create the characteristic bumpy texture.

When I went down to 88 pounds after eliminating meat (just curious to see if how long I could do it. Answer: two years.) all my cellulite disappeared.

I hear that some creams with caffeine can produce a temporary effect.

Hmmm, suspect that wasn't due to the meat but the very very low body weight you were at - unless you were 12 or 4'7 :noway:

Sadly it's mainly genetic - maybe try lifting heavy - I know my *kitten* looks better now I'm lifting, even at a higher body fat. I would not suggesting losing more if you are happy with you body weight.

I didn't say it was because I was a vegetarian, only that eliminating meat reduced my calorie intake, which is why I happened to get down to that weight.

I don't use direct weight resistance on my lower body, apart from my calves. Works for me.

I've never used these creams, but they are supposed to work by temporarily plumping up the skin tissues, which masks the dents. The effect apparently lasts for a few hours.
