First college ice-breaker event: We were told we were attending a picnic and were asked to state our name and something we were bringing to the picnic that started with the same letter as our first name. I said "I'm Tom and I'm bringing tomatoes." I still remember the girl I paired up with. She was "Sue" who was bringing "salt".

I don't recall that particular icebreaker

Even though I use Susan, I prefer to be called Sue.
    Go figure...

10 years ago I joined a website that was a forum for survivors of sexual abuse and I needed a screen name that was anonymous.

"icimani" is an Native American indian word that means traveler or long journey. I do love to travel and I knew, with the sexual abuse, that I was in for a long journey of healing so it just seems to fit.

I'm not Native American, but I do identify with a lot of their spiritual beliefs.

I had a friend who was very into anime in high school and our freshman year she gave me the name BaraRei for our online gaming community. Its unique so I've been using it ever since. Supposedly it means Rose Spirit, but I actually have never checked. Anyone know?

People might think my user name is just a quote or an encouragement, but I wrote it when I was going through hard times (not with weight loss) and I tried to think positive so when I look at it I smile!

My username is based on the band from the Muppet Show named Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. (remember Animal?!) I was raised by hippie parents so naturally that was my favorite show  When i used to play Rock Band and Guitar Hero that was the gaming nickname i came up with and it's stuck ever since.

    ANIMAL!!!!

  The characters in the band represent me in many ways....when i'm acting all cray cray i'm animal, when i'm feeling laid back and girly i'm Janice, back in High School i was more like Dr. Teeth at some parties

  • I've had this nickname since H.S. For burping, farting, cussing and wiping boogers on things. With 3 little brothers, I was very much a tomboy. Had a daughter 12 years ago and lo and behold, she brought a lady out in me. (Somewhat) The nickname has stuck. Even when I get dolled up, am polite and hold in my farts until my stomach feels like it's gonna explode. :)
