I am new to running, but I am proud to say that Sunday I ran (plodded as you say) for 3 miles with out stopping. I'm doing my first 5k in a two weeks and I should be in good shape. My goal is to get to where I can run a 10k with ease.
My biggest problem is boredom. What do you occupy your mind with when you are running?
Slight runner here. I don't enjoy it, but I do like to take my dog out a couple times a week. I do it for him We are about a 12 minute mile. 2.5 miles in 30 minutes.
